Prefer the original Fire tablet

I actually think this one is slower than the original Kindle. I would add a half star to my review if I could. It's not an awful device. Nice picture. Just not for me

I am sorry to hear you are not having a positive experience with your Fire HD8 Plus Tablet. Upon set up, the device should have downloaded the latest software once you connected to Wi-Fi. To ensure that your software is up to date you can check your devices settings and look for the following version. On your tablet it should read: FireOS 7 | FireOS 7.3.2.9. You can update your device anytime it is connected to Wi-Fi. If you are having issues streaming content or searching the silk browser on the device, you may want to restart your Wi-Fi systems modem or router to verify that is not the issue.
