Overall good performance. It works fast and comes with many apps

I purchased my Amazon - Fire HD 8 - 8" - Tablet - 16GB 7th Generation, 2017 Release - Punch Red a little over 2 months ago to use while traveling from home to projects out of state and found that not only do I use it on the plane to watch movies, I use it to check Email, surf the web, listen to music, play games and just about everything I do on my phone except make calls. It is so easy to use, the picture is amazing and the cost was considerably less what the Galaxy 7" table cost with all the extras I added into mine. Came with 16GB storage which I quickly expanded to 64 and added a cover to protect it. So far, I love this tablet and am so glad I decided on this over the Galaxy 7" tablet.

This tablet is a rock star. I do everything on it. Bright display, sound, And an unbeatable price. Of course, the price point is due to the baked in advertisements that you get every time the device wakes up - a little annoying, but manageable. Again, that price really makes it for me and it really is quite capable.

No matter if you have an IPad or computer or both, this is a great device to have. Perfect for travel. Download movies and tv shows so you can watch without WiFi. Read books. Listen to music. Read emails. So many applications in an inexpensive, portable tablet. If you subscribe to Amazon prime, this is a must have.

After reading several reviews I decided to order the tablet and I would like to say I made a Great Purchase! This is a great tablet for the price. Its a nice quality and you can do anything you can do in an Ipad. The camera quality isnt the best but it is acceptable, especially for the price. I would buy again!

I picked this up after my hd6 Amazon tablet started acting up, glad I did because as soon as I transferred data from old to new, the hd6 died. Good timing. So far this hd8 is performing much better than the old, the increased memory I believe is the big difference. No problems at all and am very happy with it!

This tablet was the perfect gift for my husband who didn’t really need one, but enjoyed getting one as a gift to do things like watch movies and play games on. It’s the most affordable tablet with the functionalities he needs. No need to spend hundreds of dollars on another tablet that does the same thing!

I like the size of my kindle and that it is light weight.

Although this tablet is not really for everyday normal use due to some of its limitations, I was looking for a good replacement for a very old ipad that was slowing down. Picked this up for less than 40 dollars and really can't complain considering my last ipad was over 500. Good starting tablet or for those that do not need much,

The screen is bigger than my last kindle. Easy to navigate and personalize. This tablet is fun and has a long lasting battery life. I enjoy the overall amazon kindle experience.

I bought this as a gift for my mom. It is a nice size and the screen is really nice. Responsive and works really nice for a tablet. The issue was so much bloat and ads with amazon. She couldn't play a simple game of solitaire without tons of ads. She had so many popups for trying to get her to buy or subscribe to things that it was confusing to her (she's 85). If you love all the amazon apps and don't mind the bloated operating system the tablet itself is really nice. In my case I had to return it. Just didn't work well for mom. I'd prefer a basic android tablet with google.

I have the first addition Kindle fire HD and my grandson kept wanting to use. I bought a different tablet but never liked it so I bought another kindle. It was easy for me to set up and all my books and games were there. The lighter size and weight are good. Glad it has the dual camera.

This tablet's benchmarks are nothing special but apps run better on it than two tablets that I have which have equal or faster benchmarks. I added Google marketplace with no issues and I found a version of all my apps that will run on it. Battery life is superb. I'm very satisfied.

I got this tablet because my wife bought the same thing when she upgraded her Kindle. I was shopping all kinds of tablets. But I didn't want to spend big money just to surf my emails and watch video. This does both very well. Super fast with my wi-fi! Great tablet for the money!

This tablet does everything I need and more. My main purpose for it is reading books and occasional social medial or browsing the Internet. The size is perfect for all of those. I’m very pleased with this tablet; so much so that I bought a fire 7 for my school aged daughter.

This is a great device for all Amazon has to offer. I am able to read Amazon books as well as books from my local library. Apps are easy to install (example: Netflix) and it will run smoothly. If you have Prime, it is even more functional as you are able to link to your Amazon account, read from a large selection of books with Prime reading (although you get even more books with Kindle Unlimited for an additional charge), and watch Amazon videos. If you want to do more than just read, this is a great all around device. It has expandable memory to add additional storage to carry all your videos with you on the go.

this is not the fastest nor does it have the best display. but then again its a fraction of the expensive tablets. bought this for my folks, they don't need the best as they only use these to watch youtube or use facebook, basic stuff. and the build is very nice too

This is the best budget tablet out right now. Amazon's version of the Android OS runs very smooth and the build quality is good especially for the price. I was pleasantly surprised on the performance of the tablet. It does what you need it to do and is reliable.

This is not a high end tablet. It has limits, but internet access and games don't seem to be a problem. I have used this to also access my Kindle reading library with much satisfaction The battery life is excellent as well, maintaining days on standby while turned on. I have higher end tablets to do fancier tasks, but I have been satisfied with what this can do for such a low price. If you want an entry level tablet to check email, watch videos, play games (buyer beware of some potential limits on gaming--I use very few) and allow youngsters an inexpensive experience, this may be for you.
