If you own an Alexa Device, This is a must have. It makes using an Amazon Device so easy. The OS is Android. It is not the most user friendly device for getting out apps but you will figure it out sooner or later. I deducted a star for that. For the price, It is a good device. Thanks!

I’ve had two Samsung tablets and I feel like this new one is 1 easier to use and 2 much better built the Samsung’s in my opinion have a cheap type build quality where as this feels good to the touch and has that quality feel that will last for some time

I am more of an apple user and I bought this for my 6 year old son. Things I like is that you can upgrade the memory with just a chip. The resolution is poor compared to an Ipad or iPad mini. But for the price this is a great item for anyone looking for a handheld on a budget. You may want to consider the iPad over this if you want a better screen and more versatility. You can only purchase amazon cards for the apps and music for this device. Which means you have to search high and low for places that sale amazon cards. Unlike apple or google, you can buy the app cards anywhere and at any store. Not so much with the amazon tablets. But like I said before, its for a 6yr old so I can upload a few movies and a few of his favorite games and that keeps him busy for hours.

This is my third kindle. The longer battery life is a big plus for someone who loves to exercise the brain working Sudoku puzzles and playing Candy Crush. The "8" is a little more awkward to hold in my hand than the " 7" but not a major problem.

Purchased when there was a great deal on these devices. Was impressed with the screen and performance. This unit ended up being primarily a DirecTVNow tablet with some other social media apps. It's not an Apple iPad replacement, but at the price I paid, I couldn't resist.

This is my 2nd Amazon tablet. This new one is much faster than the last one (7" model) and a much better display. I was going to buy the HD 10 but it was too big to hold it so I ended buying the HD 8 and it works fine. No problems so far.

I bought this product for a school fundraiser to be gifted as prizes, the students who received them have been over the moon about how easier they are to use and function exactly as advertised. I will certainly but this product again.

I could gripe and moan about how this tablet isn't the fastest tablet to browse the web on. And, it's a pain to get apps on to. HOWEVER. It's a tablet that is frequently less than $50. You can expand the memory with a microSD card for less than $10. It plays movies exceptionally well, and it even is useful as a Kindle book reader. The kids use mine now, and it's been durable as anything else I've used (if not more). So, I guess I really can't complain. It's a great value for what it is. And, it works and works and just works....

This is an excellent tablet for children and adults. Runs great and looks fine. While it may not pack the punch that newer iPads and Android Tablets do, the Amazon Fire HD does everything you expect it to. Bought one for my daughter and she absolutely loves it.

I bought this tablet for my grandchild but once I started setting it up I kept it for myself. It does everything a high priced tablet does.

I like the convenient way that I can order books, games and etc. on my tablet and check my email. I love the fact that I can take it anywhere in my purse. I don't have to wait until I get home to read. Plus the charge last longer.

This is a wonderful, lightweight tablet. I love the screen size and the images are great. It can do everything! I bought it to replace my Kindle, and because it offers the night-light option (no blue light). But, I have a big problem with it. On my Kindle I can select a font size that is perfect for me to be able to see (the medium). On the Fire the medium size is smaller, and I cannot easily see it. The large is really huge and it is too big to read comfortably. So I went back to reading books in my old Kindle because I can't find a comfortable font on the Fire.

This is the second tablet I have purchased (the latest is a gift for a family member). These tablets are great and you cannot beat the price. I use mine daily and it goes every where with me. I highly recommend purchasing one.

I bought this for my mother who I purchased the second generation a few years back. She loves all the improvements they have made in this model. Great deal for anyone who wants a great tablet without spending a lot of money.

While not as powerful or nice as an iPad, I'm happy I was able to get this for my mom for only $50 on sale. Screen looks very good and while the overall feel isn't as nice or sturdy as an iPad, it looks like it will hold up well and do what is needed.

I purchased this tablet during the black Friday deals and for the price it is a pretty decent tablet. There is no lag when browsing multiple pages and even watching videos. 4 stars given as I haven't fully explored all features, but so far so good!

I bought for wife and she loves it. Not as good as Ipad but for the price one could not get better. Battery lasts and no game crashes. Prime is a plus for all the perks. No need to install Google Play, Prime store rocks.

This is a great tablet for the price that I got this. I buy this during black friday for less than $30. There is nothing much to say about the tablet, I only used it for security monitoring. So for $50 it is a good deal!

Wish I would have purchased more, especially at the price they had it for. I can start watching a movie on it then switch it to my firestick hooked up to my TV . One of the best purchases I've made doing Black Friday‼️

I love all the different options this tablet has...camera is out standing...user guide helps u when ever you need it...easy to handle...my brother plans on getting one real soon...I've told everyone at work what a great tablet the Fire HD8 is.
