I bought this for reading books and was quite pleased to find out I could access books my husband ordered through Amazon Prime. I do have a couple complaints. One is it seems that every time I charge the Kindle something changes. The first time I charged it, some new icon appeared on the home page. The last time I charged it my book library completely changed. I had the hardest time trying to find the book I had been reading. Instead of listing it at the top of the screen, I found it several sections down. It would be nice if I could click on the book link and have my current book load, but if that's not possible, I wish I didn't have to now go looking for it.

Bought this for my youngest daughter to have movies to watch on long car rides. Works great. Fast. Nice bright screen. The SD card addition is wonderful so more apps can be added and Netlfix movies can be downloaded.

The Kindle Fire 8 has a lot of great features including great graphics and expandable memory slot. The battery life is acceptable and 5GHz wifi connectivity insures fast internet access. The 8" tablet size is small enough to hold in a single adult hand and its not too big for kids to use. It also works great if you have Amazon Prime and can stream video content from your Prime subscription as well as use the Amazon shopping app. Other streaming apps work as well including Youtube and Netflix.

This Kindle Fire is an upgrade from my Kindle and it has not disappointed me. I can do so many more things with it besides reading, which it is great for that as well. It is so easy and quick to download the books!!

Was lookin get for a tablet to use as an inexpensive second. This one has worked well for me and my needs. Use it when out at the coffee shop and take it in stores when needing to look up information on items. For the price, works very well.

We have been through a few other tablets brands before this one and nothing has topped this Amazon Fire 8HD! Perfect for my 7 year old. Holds a great charge and has a great amount of storage on it for him. Other tablets before this, would need charged an hour or so in to him using it, but this one has exceeded our expectations! its battery life is absolutely great! He has been enjoying this since Christmas and I haven't even had to expand his memory on it yet!! I want one for myself now.

I went in looking for an inexpensive tablet to use while I work out. It is a nice size for watching video or reading. I actually broke the first one while lifting weights so I went back and bought another one.

I don't spend my life in this but for what I do so is perfect.I use to check my email,purchase items and check my fantasy football.it's a easy to use and does not cost that much.I am glad I purchased this item

I love my new Kindle. I had the original fire and this one is a larger screen with crystal clear display. I also like that it has the special mode for reading at night so it doesn’t disrupt your sleep pattern.

The screen display of my fire hd 8 is amazing for watching shows and movies on a tablet. Usually, I am picky about the color settings of my display. Great to take on a trip. Tablet is not too big or too small.

Purchased this tablet for my sister. She needed an inexpensive tablet to use for recreation. My grandson has one and he thoroughly enjoys his. The screen quality and options are definitely worth the purchase.

Wow, I love my Amazon Fire HD 16 GB in black. It is just the right size, and works perfectly. Loved it so much, I ordered 2 more for my grandchildren, in Marine Blue and Punch Red. I am totally satisfied!

The Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet has been a great tablet, providing an easy way to consume media around the house. We are Prime members, and have an extensive Kindle library, so whether it's watching a movie while cooking dinner, reading a book in the corner, or playing a game, this device has us covered. The screen looks great, and the device is very intuitive. The only downside to these devices is having to use the Amazon app store rather than the Google one, but if you are tech-savvy you can side-load the app.

Loved my Fire so I bought one for the wife. Now she is on Fire. She carries it around in her purse. She loves to read and play games during lunch . She also likes it because it was really easy to set up.

This one has a beautiful screen I love the 8 inch HD. It's as nice as any fire I've ever had and I've had three. I particularly love listening to books but don't always want to pay the audio book prices. His Kindle has is going to voices any ever has but it's mostly the same as the last fire they came out before it. I love the different color choices and I love the kid's case the best even for a grown-up. You can't beat the price for an android tablet and also it goes on sale now and again and get even cheaper and more affordable.

I really enjoy my Kindle and at this price point, you won't find anything even close. This is my second Kindle, first one still works well, but for the price I didn't feel bad about getting a new one.

The screen size and quality, combined with the battery life make this a winner. Decent speed too.

This is an upgrade for my wife's 6 to 7 year old Kindle 2. The old one is still functional, but this one has lot of additional features, including a much larger screen. She is very happy with It.

I bought an 8" Kindle Fire because I started reading more ebooks and my iPad was a little heavy, especially for reading in bed or carrying with me all the time. I wanted something lighter that would give me all the features of my iPad. I chose the Kindle Fire because of the cost, size, features and availability of ebooks. It's working out great. I didn't have any trouble transitioning since I have an Android phone.

Amazon's os isn't stellar but the tablet itself runs well. It can be clunky to try to navigate the kindle interface and library but everything runs well and Kindle Unlimited is a great service for those who like to read.
