Bought this new Fire HD8 for my husband for Xmas, a huge upgrade as he has one of the oldest the Kindle Fire 6th or 7th generation, needless to say, this particular HD8 must have a defect, as the volume on it wasn't loud at all, and he tried everything to get it to be louder, but it was a no go. So I'm returning it, and I'm just getting him the 10. Hopefully the volume will work on that one.

My wife uses this product, but she really prefers reading a book. Hard to know what was the last page she was on.

I bought this formmy grandma tonuse skype and when I call her she never noticed it because it doesn't make any sound

I specifically bought Fire tablet as a way to watch movies and download them to a microSD card since iPad was full. Three different Best Buy employees assured me that they do that all the time. Initially I was able to do it, ignoring constant error messages, but now it's blocked completely. I don't know whether I'm madder at Amazon or the Best Buy employees for misleading me.

I only had this product for 2 months when it just wouldn't come back on. Good thing I had insurance. Ugh!

It keeps freezing up . You have to keep turning off when it does that and.you lose your information

Disappointed with screen brightness. I would not recommend it. And, yes, I adjusted the screen to maximum.

I bought this Amazon Kindle as a gift for a valued customer after 3 years of repeat business to me. She opened it on her birthday. It died within 48hrs and I told her she could take the item back for we exchange with my receipt, which she did. She was told there was nothing they could do. Very disappointing. Hope others learn from our experience.

Bought it a couple of months ago and it did break very easily also it was very laggy.

Amazon tablet are only good for the consumer that really doesn't care about features

Had for 2 weeks and Tablet blacked out on me in the middle of a movie and would not turn on.

Very slow, not a lot of apps, it's plagged by Amazon interface and not Google. I. Had to. Add Google store via third party download and add my apps to. It but the tablet couldnt keep up since the memory and ram so bad for any good app. Gave it to my son. For low usage memory games and was too slow

Can’t use a lot of the applications I would like to on this device.

It was great,but now it stopped working. Was watching a move and it went blank.

Daughter liked it, didn’t last long. Was a little slow but it worked.

It was affordable but does not meet features that you need for videos callinh.

I would not recommend. You get what you pay for as far as quality.

Very limited in its features. Alexa is not really used that often.

I’m not satisfied with this product & will return it on my next off day from work. It freezes, on occasions will not allow me to type things. Numerous times while playing a game the screen disappears. I don’t know if this one is just defective or if the whole line of the product is broken
