Amazon's Best Kindle Yet!

Great tablet for plane trips
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tablet as a cheap alternative to my surface pro 3 to watch movies/tv shows on the plane. I just got back from a trip and this worked perfectly. I saved some Amazon Prime videos and ripped some of my own collection to the sd card and it played everything perfectly. I was initially concerned about screen brightness on the tablet being an issue if my neighbor decided to keep the window shade open, but it was plenty bright enough to see for my plane journey. Battery life was also excellent. I boarded a 2.5 hour flight in airplane mode with 40% battery remaining and watched movies the entire flight with roughly 70% brightness. I think I still had 30% battery left when we landed.

Good value, but battery lacking

It’s a good value for what you get, and I like being able to add storage with a microSD Card. I just wish the battery life was a little better. When I go to bed with the tablet charged to 100%, I wake up and it only has about 33% charge in the morning.

Not for me

I have lots of google apps and home products that connect to google chrome. This tablet doesn't sink with them. I would have to buy the fire stick to stream from the tablet to the television. Just one more gadget to add so this just wasn't for me. The tablet itself is great and has tons of features.
