Easy to use. Battery life is great. I got this as a gift for someone and have heard nothing but good things about it.

Amazon Fire HD 8 : Good for reading books and PDF documents. Good to watch HD movies online and thru Memory Storage. Checking emails However, it's very slow when hopping from one application to another. Also kinds of application support is limited and you may not find your favourite app listed in Amazon app store. So buy only if you want to read books on the go. And watch movies just that. But consider it cost only $50 during Black Friday sale, it's enough for what it provides in that money. Value buy I would say.

Great Screen, great speakers...responsive and ask Alexa (can't beat that). Real benefit if you have PRIME...Alexa can find anything on Amazon...but you have to press the tablet before asking your question

I can't believe how much I can do with this. I read the Washington Post every morning. I watch BritBox and Netflix on it. I read books, go online, take photos, play games. I would recommend this for anyone.

I have an older kindle that I was beginning to have a few issues with and wanted a newer version. I received an email from Bestbuy that they had Kindles on sale, so I went to have a look see. I was impressed with the price of this Kindle for what you get, I had to have one. If you're in the market for a nice tablet, this is a good one to get. If you can find it on sale, even better. I'm so happy with my purchase and this Kindle is much nicer than my old one.

Needed a new reader with a little more under the hood. New Fire Tablet with 16GB did the trick. Price was right too.

This tablet is only good for media consumption and it only does an average job at that as it is mostly geared towards amazon and its products. This screen resolution leaves a lot to be desired, then again this is a 100 dollar tablet. The fact that it lacks support for the google play store was really a no go for me. want to be able to use this in a pinch and sync across all my devices and with this tablet I do not feel that I can do that as it is for amazon junk. No dedicated youtube app, no vudu for movies etc.. If you only use Netflix/hulu and are really big on prime video then this is great for you. If not, check out the Lenovo tab4

It's very well made keeps the tablets safe from kids as much as possible. Kids will be kids. Easy to use and maintain.

I love the control this tablet gives you, you can set timers for use ect. Plus plenty of space and works fast

Bought this for my kids to play and read. Great picture only downside is the camera does not take good pictures.

This is an upgrade from our original Kindle Fire & it is awesome. It has so many features that didn’t come on the previous one including limitations for our little girl. HD resolution is unbelievable.

I bought a number of these on sale for family members. Well worth the price. They're not the quality of iPads but they're also a fraction of the price. My 5 year old son to my 72 year old mom and dad enjoy their new tablets.

The tablet is good enough as the title suggests. It's not your ipad nor is it your galaxy tab, but the fire HD has been every bit as useful. I don't play games so I can't say anything about the performance in that regard, but there hasn't been any lagging on the apps that I have used since Christmas. Also, the lock screen has ads on it, but spending 15 dollars to get rid of it..I can't justify for that. It's literally just on the lock screen, one quick swipe and you're at your home screen. Simple as that.

Amazon Fire tablets are great for the non-technical user. 90% of people can use them however they are locked down to the Amazon ecosystem which prevents you from easily using applications in the Android Google Play store.
