Bought for web surfing on the couch and watching movies when traveling. Works good and looks good. Appstore not as good as apple or android but that is ok for my use. Price is good on sale.

Perfect if your searching for a tablet light in weight. Good size to view videos and films.

This is a good, basic media consumption device. It is not an iPad or Galaxy Tab level tablet. If you want to read our Kindle books, watch some Youtube/Netflix and play very basic games, it will do it for you. Screen is fine, Fire OS has gotten much better over time. I have just recently purchased the latest version HD 8 and will probably keep buying them yearly; just ecycle the old version each time.

Really enjoying it.I adapted it to use apps from the Google Play store and so far, runs most apps. The only thing it really lacks for me is a gps. If that was included, it'd be a 5 star.

My first Amazon (kindle or fire), and am excited because I read a lot. I have many tablets and brands, so there is a learning curve. It is a little heavier than I expected (vs. a regular kindle), but small enough to put in a purse for those boring airport, doctor office, hospital waits, etc. Phone too small and Ipad pro too heavy. So far I love it, especially since it was only $50 during holidays.

Great tablet at a great price. Easy to use and keeps the kids busy in the car.

This is a great tablet. I would buy it again. And it’s durable. Well worth the money

the table is very good and work like i thought it would and all i got it for my newphew he going to love it so glad i got it for him so he can do everything on it

Replaced my smaller kindle with this. Like the bigger size and ability to expand.

Camera isnt clear at all. Cant use certain apps and the sound isnt loud at all. Its an ok tablet for the average user who doesn't need much.

My husband got this as an early Christmas present so that i don't read at night in the car with the light on while he's driving. It's perfect size and I love it!

I bought the Amazon-Fire HD 8-8”tablet for my grandson so he can have a portable way of getting on line or studying after school when he is at his sitters home.

The Kindle Fire works well and I enjoy reading on it. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it seems silly to restrict people from reading Nook books on it just because it is a different platform. As a book lover, I like supporting bookstores not only the almighty Amazon. Yes, I know there are ways to get around the restriction. The reason to reduce a point is not based on the excellence of this Kindle, but on politics of sharing.

We bought this as a gift for a hospital patient. It allowed reading, entertainment and distraction for a bed-ridden person. A great alternative o an iPad for a fraction of the price!

Bought this as a substitute for a DVD player to mount in the back seat for my kids on road trips. It works great for that. Volume is acceptable, battery life is good. Once at the destination it works great as an e-reader. It's a little stretched for other tablet activities, it takes a little while to bring up the home screen/ switch between apps. Be aware it does have Amazon's software and advertising prominently featured.

It's not the fastest and it doesn't have the best display, but it is a huge value based on the price. And after side-loading the google play app on to it - it's an even bigger value.

Why would you need anything else? Great speed. Great screen. Decent app store.
