Not an iPad but it does its job and is pretty handy. Just trying to get used to the os as opposed to the iPad which is way easier to use.

We got this for our 10 year old, but I would recommend it for any age 10 and up. Really nice and great compatibility.

It has been a month since I got the Fire HD 8 and I absolutely love it, this tablet it's perfect to use as a media player it has a great image and sound guality, a long lasting battery, perfect to read my books, fast downloading apps and it classifies itself what is going to be in the sd card. Overall a great product.!

This was purchased to give as a Christmas gift. It's no iPad, of course, but that's not really the idea. It's a strong performer for the money and, in our case, allowed an Amazon Prime member, who didn't have a tablet, to enjoy some entertainment when traveling or hanging around the house for the first time. Made a great gift, he's very pleased.

I loved it but it got stolen from me a week ago. When will it go on sale. I was very upset because I used it a lot

This is great for kids and for the price. However they don’t last that long. If you know that ahead of time you won’t be disappointed

Bought this for my family's gift exchange. Everyone got things they didn't want because the price range on the gifts was really low to buy anything good. I bought this for my uncle and he was exited and getting the most attention because while everyone else got sweaters and borring gift cards he got a tablet.

I had an old one that lasted forever!! I finally dropped it and it broke (about the zillionth time it had been dropped, egad!). This new one is awesome just like the old one and I love that you can buy colors now! We got blue. My son is busy playing with Alexa, since she wasn't on our previous tablet. :)

You won’t get a better one at this price and it makes it more compelling with the built in Alexa voice assistant.

I bought this tablet so my 6-year-old grandson can have his own, and not ask to use mine. He has access to kids cartoons and games. If you get one for a younger child, I suggest you get a childproof case. This is not a knock on this device, I would make that same recommendation for any other device. It is a great tablet for the price.

good for reading books. battery life not so great. sometimes hangs need restart often . can play games . good one for the price

I had been looking for a smaller tablet. The new Fire HD8 is the perfect fit. It's great for media of all types. It's even a pretty good gaming device. But keep your expectations in check. It won't do everything a full laptop can, but it's not supposed to. The screen is terrific, although you may need to download an app for white balance adjustment.

For the price Amazon is offering these tablets they're great! Honestly, if you're looking for something to watch Netflix, YouTube, basic apps as well as play a few games these tablets are amazing. I love the fact that their great quality for the price. Obviously they're not the best tablets in the entire world, but for what you pay, their fantastic.
