    I bought two of these tablets for my kids as Christmas presents. They had older Kindle tablets and the Black Friday price was too good to pass up. They seem to be faster and the display is much brighter than their older devices.

    The tablet is smaller, which is good for me since it's easier to carry around. For the most part, it can do anything a more expensive tablet can do at a fraction of the price. Streaming tv (my main use) works like a breeze and the picture quality is good.

    Bought this during Black Friday. It is a perfect tablet for browsing the internet. You want something to use at home bigger than your phone, then this is perfect. Pretty good for watching shows when the wife hogs the TV too. :)

    But I really got it to replace my kindle. But I would of been nice if I could of used it to play polemon. I have samsung tablets and the buttons are all opposite of the fire... LOL but it is ok for what I got it for.. which was to read my books.

    Great e-book reader with a lot of storage. This works much better than the older versions and has a lot more features. My only complaint is battery life ... I have to recharge it after approximately 4 hours.

    My husband needed to upgrade from his Kindle 7 to a new one. The Kindle 8 HD is everything he expected it to be and we added an SD card for additional storage. He uses his Kindle 8 HD for Audio Books and is very happy with it.
