I was in the market for a tablet for movie streaming and e-book reading at night. Given it's price point, it easily outshine the more expensive tablets that Apple and Samsung are offering. Let's be honest, most of us are in the market for something to simply surf the web, watch youtube and Netflix, read an e-book, and play some game apps. It's a great tablet for those purposes and this tablet is at 1080p. If you have the same priorities for a tablet as I have previously listed, this is the tablet for you. No need to go for Apple and Samsung. Also, if you have kids, get the foam cover and they'll be able to use it too without breaking it.

Bought as a gift for my daughter, she loves it!! She mostly wanted it for reading books but all the extras are nice as well. Great product so far, she's only had it almost a month.

I have taken it for my son, he likes it very much.

Really good Black Friday price/deal on an E-Reader

This is my third Kindle Fire tablet. The features, the apps, the ease of use, the display, and the fact that these tablets can do more than you might think is what keeps me coming back.

my dad has this tablet, he seems to love it since he uses it daily. it's easy for him to use, he plays games on this and watches videos on youtube.

I haven using this product like a workhorse and it has exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to anyone that can not afford an ipad

I bought this as a replacement to the one that broke. This tablet keeps my boy completely entertained, but in return I get a child who has selective hearing, that's too busy with YouTube. When it's bed time, he fights because he wants to watch more. When he's bad we take it away and he becomes a monster! You would think this tablet has total control of his life, and it does. Yes I do put screen time limits on him, this has helped him tell time, but then becomes that argumentative child when screen time is over. The benefits of the tablet, it has helped him hold a stylus and write, there are plenty of educational apps that have helped reinforce some of the stuff we teach him.

I was looking for a Bluetooth tablet for the car. My kids play DJ with the Kindle 8 HD. I purchased 64 GB of additional storage and filled it with music! Love this and it works great!

My old Kindle died. So I bought this replacement. How I LOVE audiobooks I buy and borrow from the library! I listen to them everyday for about four hours minimum. Sleep timer is good if you remember to set AND click out of each area and back to Home Page. Otherwise, book will stop but after a while, will start up again. This seems only to happen when I’m using the books I’ve borrowed through the OverDrive app so the restart might just be a function of OverDrive. Only gave four stars as the volume at its highest is TOO low to hear adequately. So I bought a JBL external speaker that clips on my belt. Other than that, resolution is wonderful for streaming (still need that external speaker).

My 87 year old father used an earlier version for his reading enjoyment with limited tech ability. I got the 8" version and it fits my hand and is an enjoyable and functional tablet.

We take this everywhere with us easy to use charges fast put a sleep app on it listen to it every night and play games all the time and check our emails every day!

This kindle is slimmer than the older version. It is great for everyday use to read books, watch tv shows and movies. It is also Alexa enabled. I am very pleased with my order.
