This is my first tablet. I read several reviews before purchasing and found everything said to be true. The speaker has an occasional hiccup, not sure why. I love reading my email on this device, faster than my laptop. Although I don't feel that it replaced my laptop. The prices on the Kindle Fire 8 is much better than it used to be as well as better options. Glad I bought it!

This is my 6th Fire HD 8 I purchased from Best Buy for gift. Unbelievable Black Friday price!. Good screen, fast speed and nice color selections. After installing Google Play app, It is just like any Android tabs. All apps that I use on my Android phone work great in this tablet. Highly recommend to anyone who are shopping mini tablets.

Got this for my toddler. Currently has the fire 7 which totally lacked space even with the sd card. I have high hopes this will suit much better and allow more apps. It's getting 4 stars at the moment cause I've only had it a week and am still weary of space issues but will update this after some usage. Its easy to use. My toddler loves it and I love the parental controls

As always, Kindle tablets are subject to Amazon's App store. But that's expected. It works well if you want access to the Amazon books and access to buying from Amazon. So for that reason I'm giving this tablet 5 stars. If you have greater expectations for a tablet then spend accordingly. For fifty dollars this is a fantastic device.

I have had 2 previous kindles. I love reading books on my kindle. This kindle is great for me, as it is the perfect size and very lightweight. It is also very fast. I received this as a birthday gift and I love it!

My primary tablet is the iPad Pro but I couldn't resist picking up the Amazon Fire tablet at Best Buy during their Amazon promotion day when the price dropped by $30. I really like the smaller size compared to my iPad Pro. By default, the display brightness was set to adjust automatically but I found this to make the screen too dark, especially for watching videos on Netflix and Amazon Prime. Fortunately, that is easily adjustable in the display settings. I know this drains the battery quicker but the battery still lasts several days with limited use. I paired a bluetooth keyboard to it just to try and it worked fine. The ads that appear when unlocking the screen really don't seem to be a bother. Given the price of this tablet I really have no complaints.

I bought this on Black Friday...what a deal $49.99!! I did not expect to make this purchase when I walked in but I ended up buying two. One I kept for myself and am so glad I did. I love it. The other I gave as a gift.The picture is very clear and it is a perfect size that won't strain your eyes watching Netflix and surfing the web.

Great screen, easy to use, perfect size and it's amazon

I have always been leery of purchasing a tablet from Amazon. I found the tablet is work well and perform as it should. There are a lot of Amazon apps installed, but I was able to use it and manage it like any other Android tablet I have owned before. The Black Friday price was really good, too. I'm very satisfied with my tablet.

I love the separation from adult settings and child settings. Great parental controls and limiting freetime and data. Easy to set up with using my amazon account. Purchased 2 for my 2 youngest children ages 4 and 5 for christmas. And along with the cases and screen protectors from amazon as well i think they will be perfect!

I bought this for my wife, an avid reader. The size of the screen and ability to use a blue tint makes it easy to read for hours, even with reading glasses. Anyone looking for an inexpensive tablet for entertainment would do well to purchase this. Get yourself a good protective case and screen saver and you're good to go!

My family, friends and I love Kindles, especially when it's on sale. Versatile, affordable and durable. Great for reading books, watching movies or netflix, listening to music, browsing the web, shopping on Amazon, email, games and more. Giving this as a gift to my niece. I can't wait. I know she is going to love it!
