This tablet is cheap but wonderful. I bought 3 on black friday just to give them to family members.

I love the Amazon fire. It is very user friendly. It's great for reading books, streaming music, and watching movies.

If you're an Amazon user, this tablet is really nice. The screen is good sized without being oversized. It has Alexa built into it, which is convenient if you have Echo's around your house, since they can work together. However, we did have an issue with the screen cracking fairly easily (not sure how that happened).

The size is perfect. The resolution is outstanding! My very favorite Christmas gift from me to me!

This AMAZON Fire HD 8 with 16 GBs was perfect for my wife as an e-reader, email, games and work.

The Kindle HdX8 is a great device. I use it for browsing. The kids watch YouTube videos. I have been able to convert movies to put on the external micro SD storage card to be able to watch movies offline. It’s been a good purchase. I wish I had some more granular controls. The child sub accounts don’t allow any in app purchases which defeated some of my reasoning for getting it. They asked for Amazon giftcards to buy ‘gems’ and such for in game. So, I have to allow them to use the parent account to enjoy their purchase power which defeats all the parental controls. Or at the very least is an annoyance when they have to keep asking me to enter the password. The Kindle is susceptible to malware! Put some ad blocking and anti malware on there. Found a couple free ones that are getting the job done. Misc surfing invited inappropriate popup ads. I mean REALLY inappropriate. Do get one. But, also be watchful of letting little ones use it unsupervised.
