I know the specs and didn't mainly buy this for everyday use the only reason I purchased this device was for watching Netflix or Hulu when I didn't want to see it on my phone screen. Also it was on sell for $49.99 great price

Bought this as a gift for a three wife as an alternative to her reading books on her smartphone. She loves it because there screen is much bigger. Easy to read off and read a much cheaper alternative to the Kindle during black Friday.

I like that it’s small enough even on the recharging stand, that it doesn’t take up much counter space. I can use it hands free while I am cooking and listen to music as well. I Bluetooth it to my Bose speaker because the speaker is not very loud otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

This is a big upgrade from the previous version we owned. This one is brighter, faster and the battery lasts a lot longer. Definitely a good upgrade from the older Fire. We like this better than the white, because of the color internet ability.

Easy to use... One complaint. Vudu account holders are directed to use a different app - something with Movies in the name. Well, THAT app will not play half the movies I own, so I can't use the Kindle Fire the way I thought I would be able to use it.

8” tablet that has all the same great features as the more expensive tablets out there. You can watch Netflix, Facebook, play Roblox and other mobile games. You can also sideload Google playstore for google apps and emulation

Repeat purchase this for our 80-year-old grandfather to read books on originally. He lives in Arizona and this is the only tech he uses. It’s easy to send him pictures and have him easily use this. It is user-friendly.

I'm pretty satisfied with this tablet. There is nothing particularly outstanding about it and Amazon's restrictions prevent you from downloading the true (for lack of a better word) version of some apps and some apps are missing altogether due to a limited app store. That being said the big ones are here (youtube hulu amazon prime etc) and work well. The screen is bright enough and clear enough for a budget tablet. The sound is hit and miss. Some youtube videos I can't hear without headphones and some work just fine. It might be the app but It seems consistently inconsistent across the board. There is a fair amount of bloatware too, I just made a folder labeled useless and threw them in there. For the price it works great and I use it all the time. I also bought a car bracket from amazon and essentially made a rear entertainment center for my kids with it, on the cheap.

Both my kids love these kindles. They are fast enough for basic games and video playback. Downside I would say is they slow down as they get older. I am sure resetting would solve this issue.

I got this while it was on sale the week before Christmas. I wanted my elderly mom to have it for her Facebooking. The picture is sharp and the screen is responsive. She loves being able to ask Alexa to)mopey Facebook for her.

I got this for my 6 year old and the parental settings are easy to use. She loves the tablet and we can keep her from accessing what we don't want her to. She has picked up how to use the kid friendly account very easily.

The new Amazon Fire HD 8 is the perfect tablet for anyone that is looking for one. I would highly recommend this tablet to family and friends. Easy to set up basically you get a WI-FI connection and the tablet helps you set up in seconds.

I have a laptop & 12" tablet (which is kind of heavy); I wanted something smaller to be able to read books on & take with me. I bought 2 fit my granddaughters & they love them. So I decided to get one for myself. It's the perfect size

Purchased for my 8 year old granddaughter and she loves it.....It is easy to use and as good as a laptop for her. She loves Alexa....she asks for jokes all the time as well as other info...great product....wish Santa would bring me one this year!

This was an amazing Christmas gift for my 10 year old daughter. Very inexpensive. I bought a case on another website because they have the kinds I like (very durable and surrounded by rubber for drops) she got to know the amazon system quickly. Would buy again for my other child.

For the price, this is great tablet,I used it as a screen for my camera and also as a tablet to stream shows on Netflix.So if you need a tablet and don’t want spend a lot this is perfect.

I bought this for my wife to be able to read her E-books and to also have a bigger screen for some of her apps that she once used her phone for. It is a great tablet for the price and does most everything the more expensive tablets do.

I had purchased this in the hopes of having something smaller than my laptop, but a little larger than my iPhone 6sPlus. I was hoping this would handle Messages and Calendar apps, but it did not, so I did return it. But for the price, it was a great bargain!

This fire HD is a decent tablet for the price, however you may need to unlock it from ads. that will cost an extra one time fee to amazon to do. you will need to side load the google play store if you want to download apps from their ecosystem.

For the money you can't go wrong with a fire hd tablet. The hd 8 is a good size where you can hold one handed or two. The interface takes some adjusting if you're switching from an Apple. But the price makes it worth it.
