I had a Nook reader from 2012, that finally failed. We travel a lot, and I love to read, without carrying books! I have a serious DSLR camera, so photos with the Kindle are no concern. My camera can Wi-Fi pics to Kindle with Canon app, and I can use Kindle to send them to friends on FB when at hotel on hotel Wi-Fi. Added a 64 GB memory card to get plenty of space for pics. Avoids extra $300 or more for an iPad.

Just the right size and very functional. And it had an amazing price. You definitely cant beat that.

Great tablet for the price. I've had 2 ipads and I think the Fire is comparable in quality (at least for how I use it) for a fraction of the price. My perfectly good ipads becoming useless when I couldn't download updated versions of apps. Had that issue with my old Kindle, too, but the Fire's low price makes it less traumatic to have to dispose of an otherwise functioning tablet.

Great small tablet was able to hook up to WiFi easily. Very user friendly, apps and internet opened quickly.

This tablet has a great battery life and is easy to use. I love the flexibility and the price was a steal!

I have had a Kindle Fire for quite a number of years and never had a single problem with it. Decided to splurge on a newer version, especially with the excellent Black Friday deal. While I love the video and audio of the HD8, I've had a problem twice already with being unable to shut it down and then having to go through responding to an error screen and figuring out what to do to finally power it down and restart it. So, while I like the HD8's performance, I'm disappointed that it seems to have this odd glitch.

The Amazon Fire is a fun resource for reading all your books. Light, Clear, and easy to navigate. Once you setup the device and your account, you will find it a pleasant tool to even surf the internet. It being a bit larger than most cell phones you can really enjoy not holding something to heavy. Even through the Fire is proprietary to Amazon store apps, there are ways to install the Google store as well. But best of all is the price.

I bought it for reading & down loading books from my library, but I have found I enjoy some of the games also.

Needed a solution for a rapid reader that could not go to library as often as she would like. This and an amazon prime account solved most of the issue. Some still needs to help her load it everytime she has read all of her books, but it holds A LOT OF THEM and is much lighter to carry. Not impossible for a Ludite to learn to use it.

The best purchase I made. So easy to use and the screen is just right. Makes good pictures.

The battery last a very long time without use for up to 5 days. The image, sound and size are great.
