    This Fire is fine for the kiddos. However, for my purposes the Amazon platform did not allow for certain applications necessary for reading etextbooks; this, it was returned. Nonetheless, the others we have will remain in use with our children for books and educational applications.

    I thought buying a newer version will be more beneficial but in this case I was proven wrong. I have to download each book multiple times before it is downloaded in the kindle.Download was also a lot slower. When I buy a book it in the old one already within minutes. It takes a day for the new one to have it.
