I love it I mainly use it to order off Amazon and to read my books. Battery life is amazing it will last me a full 5 days before I have to plug it in again. Navigation is quick and storage is still holding up pretty well for me.

I really like this. The screen is large enough to comfortably see movies, videos, and play games. It is not bulky. I really like working with it! The whole thing works very well...

The Amazon HD is a pretty economic touch screen pad, I like that you can expand it storage with a microSd card. Only thing I dislike is the amazon ads, otherwise is a decent little pad for the right price

Use primarily for games and checking email. Also, weather info applications and some banking. Slightly larger than my previous Kindle. Great size. Quick battery charge--my old Kindle battery was requiring more frequent charges. Maybe should be 5 stars??

I bought the FireHD8 in yellow ( 2018) to replace an old iPad Mini v1. I have grown tired of Apple and love my HD10, so.... I paid $60 but then $15 after to remove the ads from the lock screen. They didn't bother me much, but prefer it without them. The tablet is responsive and the screen is sharp, though the HD10 is far better in speed and screen clarity. The 8" excels at being easy to hold. It's much lighter than the 10. Works like a charm for YouTube, mail and general browsing. I am looking forward to the 9th gen....an HD10 in the HD8 size would be perfect. I don't miss my old iPad at all. Recommended.

Bought on a Black Friday deal, this tablet from Amazon is exactly what you might expect from a cheap piece of such hardware: it has its flaws, but you can't get much better for that price. First of all, you need to know that this tablet has Amazon's version of Android, which does not come with Google Play Store and a few other services from that vendor. While you can find most apps on Amazon App Store, it is sometimes quite inconvenient to manually install apps from .apk files (you never know what's inside them) and a "hack-install" of Google Services and Play Store can sometimes cause a headache. The screen quality is decent. It isn't FHD and the image is not nearly as crisp as in an iPad Pro or Galaxy Tab S3, but again - you pay only a percentage of the price of those two. It's acceptable... unless you intend to work in direct sunlight a lot. In that case - consider a more expensive alternative. The Amazon Tab 8 has only 1.5GB of RAM and a relatively weak processor, which makes it a rather slow tablet... and it feels. Don't expect it to be an F1 car... rather an old diesel-powered family mobile... which can get annoying. Overall... it has a lot of flaws, most of which its slow operation is the worst in my opinion, but there's not much to choose from in the price range it was on Black Friday...

Nice size screen and high capacity memory, plus a very reasonable price. Chose red color so it would be easy to locate if mixed with other items.

Firstly, you're not going to get top-of-the-line speed here. A price well under $100 precludes that. However, if you need a tablet where you're just going to be doing basic web browsing, video watching, and some audio, then this is a solid choice. The only real drawback is being chained to Amazon's ecosystem; the Amazon App Store has many less apps and tends to be more expensive than the Google Play store. With some hacking around, you can get Google Play on there, but you'll need some technical know-how to make it all work. If Amazon's ecosystem doesn't bother you, then this works just fine.

I bought the Fire HD 8 two days ago and am enjoying the device so far. My wife has a regular Kindle, and the Fire 8 is a vast improvement. In addition to just being able to download and read books, which is the primary reason I bought this device, I can access my e-mail as well as apps. I also like the idea of being able expand available memory up to 400 GB via a SD card. I do find the ads that pop up each time I turn on the device to be annoying. Learning to use the controls on the Fire HD8 will take a bit of time.

Good quality tablet with all the good features at a good price. Bought a case for it which was a little pricey as compared to the tablet itself. 8 inch screen is a nice step up from a 7 inch screen and didn't cost that much more. A little too much on the tablet pushing to purchase apps and media but easy enough to work around. Overall, a really nice piece of technology.

We bought this tablet for my 4 yr old son. First off, it’s not Best Buy’s fault at all, but the ad’s on this thing are rediculous. You have to pay $15 a month to amazon to turn them off, which is silly because we’re Prime members and that doesn’t seem to matter, but luckily they are only on the screen saver. Other than that, tablet is loud enough for him, has a decent amount of storage for Netflix shows and is light enough for us to carry in a pocket or a purse etc for him. Decent first tablet and not at all expensive enough for me to go crazy If the screen gets damaged or gets lost.

I traded my old Fire 2nd edition in for this updated version. First, the price was great, you cant beat basically paying $30 after trade in and using up my rewards points to get it. Second, performance is much better than my old old Fire. Last, a revamped screen layout and a micro SD port that I can use to watch my cameras videos on make this Fire much more useful than my old Fire tablet.

Bought 2 of these warlocks right before Christmas when they went on sale and gave them out as gifts to the parents. So far they love them, the size is just right and perfect for watching any streaming service you use. The reading aspect is awesome and with the SD card slot option, the memory is endless. Remember this isn't a Ipad or Surface competitor. For what this tablet does and the price it sits, you can do no wrong.
