Unfortunately to allow kids to use with freetime feature it would pretty much disable show mode (which the show mode was part of the reason we got it). So unfortunately it wasn't going to work for us and returned and got them the Echo Show 5. The concept is good and why I will still rate it high as it you can have a tablet and an echo for a good price (as long as you don't need to enable freetime for kids).
