Had the Fire HD7 several years back. This is a lighter, cheaper version with a display that can't determine whether it is HD or not.

Get an iPad or iPad mini even a iPad pro rather then this. Can do lots more with iPad. If reading book only Get this for desired. In still an iPad fan!!!!!

I bought this for my grandson. It holds a charge, is capable of accessing all the apps he needs, and connect to the internet. Great buy!

Works fine...Doesn't freeze...My 6yr old loves it...He plays on it day and night :)

I bought this for my 7 yr old. I was dissapointed with theoverall product. Had this tablet been less money I might have given better review. Super slow about downloading games, many times freezing up before it completed. Slow about loading apps that would download. Had trouble with the wi-fi staying connected. Returned for a different product.

I like the tablet but I probably would have bought something else if given the chance again.

This is a great tablet for me being technology challenged. Easy to use, easy to handle and take with me to work.

Excellent. All features work great and very good screen clarity. Son loves it ans easy for him to navigate.

This Kindle is the perfect size to carry with me when I leave home and is great for games and reading books.

This is a new model. Had problems setting it up but Best Buy Customer Service helped. It kept going to Child's screen when setting up, did several factory resets. Do not enter Amazon login, choose later, this solved the problem. Other than that it has been working great. I used a Tech Armor Screen Protector, great and reduces the mirror effect of the screen. Had problems putting personal MOBI files on it.

This is unfortunately my second Fire HD tablet. I say unfortunately only because it was to be a present. That person just had no desire to use another device. By the time I got around to return it, Best Buy trotted out their 15 day policy and although I consider myself a good customer I got the tough luck message. I probably wont consider Best Buy for presents going forward. Great little tablet.

Love the new Kindle Fire HD--the updated features and the 8 inch screen are great.

Bought this for my wife to replace her earlier version of the Fire. She seems to like it a lot. Primarily uses it for her mail, reading books and internet searches. The one issue we don't like, no matter what I've tried, it does not sync well with Comcast email. Won't delete email from server (still shows up on her smart phone and the computer).

Like the bigger screen and it works just like my old fire did
