Wife loves her Fire compared to her old one, Easy to use

Fast and easy to use. Has a nice selection of books.

My grandson loves this product easy to dwnld apps.

This purchase was made to eliminate several steps needed for most library and literature databases. For example. many public libraries use databases such as Overdrive. My new Kindle Fire HD8 makes reviews and transactions much better. The LCD also makes reading directly from the unit much more enjoyable.

Very good unit and very simple to get started on it was easy to use and I must say very fast I did not expect such performance. The people at Best Buy were also knowledgeable about the product which helped a great deal

I bought this with bestbuy reward points. I would not have bought it otherwise. Fire tables can do immersion reading but all other things can be done on any tablet, computer or smartphones. Buy it to be in the Amazon club but don't expect anything more than a way to buy from Amazon.com.

This is my Second amazon tablet and it's better then my first. It is so convenient to use and fast, my grandson also it's capable of running it at the age of eighteen months old. I love my new fire tablet !

I purchased these for my grandson and grand daughter for Christmas. Thus far they use them almost daily. They are still learning the features available on these tablets. My son does use the children features and limits his childrens time on these tablets.

I bought this for my husband and he is enjoying it. It's a little different than my Kindle fire so we are both learning on it. Best of all I can now download books to his Kindle through the cloud.

This replaced and old kindle. May I just say this is an awesome upgrade. Graphics are everything and then some. Streaming is great depending on your connection, but I've had no issues anywhere. Camera could be better, but isn't all bad. I'm happy....

We thought the Fire would be more compatible as we have several Android devices. Unfortunately the OS they use is not Android so most of what my wife wanted to do with it didn't work including broadcasting to our television through Chromecast. So what my wife did was to give the Fire to our daughter since our daughter uses a Fire in her classroom at school so she is familiar with it. My wife returned to using the previous tablet she gave to our daughter as it does what she wants it to do.

Bought this for my grandson as a replacement for his old one that had a broken plug. He loves the new one although it's a little different and will have to get used to it. His Is blue so his sister doesn't mistake it as hers. We love our kindled.

The product works great--few complaints about the technology itself! However... -flash player seems to be inaccessible -many apps are inaccessible (including chrome and a few other Android basics despite having an android-based OS) -many default apps are intended to push you towards buying things on Amazon -**you need to go online with your Amazon account and pay $10 if you don't want your screen taken over by an ad every time you unlock the kindle** It was a decent price for the tablet, but with the amount of advertising and limitations, it feels overpriced. It seems more like a device for gathering personal information to use towards advertising (for Microsoft and Amazon) than it does a personal device. Kindle fire is best used for shopping, books, and not much else.

This is my second kindle fire and I am so glad I upgraded to the HD version. Everything is so much easy to see. Videos are crisper, books are easy to read and the color are much brighter.

This product is perfect for a child. I have been trying to get the case for it but the store has been consistently out. That is my only complaint. I think the store should carry enough cases to cover the the amount of Kindles they have.

If you're looking for a tablet for a kid and looking at the Amazon Kid's Edition, DO NOT spend the extra money for the kid's edition. This one has plenty of restrictions, options and you can the same type of case if not better cheaper.

I had the older Kindle and I loved it and have had it for several years. My husband got me the Kindle Fire HD8 for Christmas and I love it! I can use it for the internet and so many other things so it was a good present for me!

My husband and I bought each other one for Christmas...Liked them so much that a few days later my daughter and son in law bought each of them one...fast, beautiful color...great for gaming, movies, etc...

Maybe it was just our luck,.but am on the third one. Had to send.back twice.3 kindles in 3 weeks. Was not like I had it for six months then it acted up. First time lost the speaker, would.work with headphones. Second time was it would.not stay charged. Would.loose charge fast while using or sitting while turned off. Even went into the setting and turned features on or off to conserve battery. None of my older version kindles lost charge when powered off. Third one is ok so far. Still loosing battery faster than my older version kindle. just do not feel the quality of the product is still there. Sorry for a poor post, just a personal opinion of the lastest version. I own at least one of each kindle that has been produced over the years. Never had any problems with them.

My last 8.9" hex kindlefure was a better size but it died. The new 8" took a little getting used to,but I like the features better. Much clearer, too.
