I wanted the Kindle Fire because I needed one device that would serve as a e-reader and also a versatile tablet. Being an Amazon Prime member made it even better. I have been extremely pleased with the HD 8.

There is nothing I don't love about this! I have an iPad and imo, this is better...and easier to use. Don't feel trapped with only Apple services. Love it!

She had a Kindle Fire purchased a number of years ago and was extremely satisfied with it. She was in need of a new one and decided this was what she wanted. Seems to be extremely satisfied with it.

The tablet is a great size for carrying in my purse and it does not weigh much. My grandkids love it!

The Kindle HD 8 is a very good product. I upgraded from the Kindle Fire. What I like about the HD 8 is that you can increase the memory with a SD card. Would greatly recommend this product.

This is my fun pad. I use it for non-business/financial enjoyment. With Amazon Prime I have access to numerous free movies and music so I load my Fire, retire to the hammock and enjoy. The weight and screen size make it easy to carry and watch movies/TV. With access to lots of apps I'm able to enjoy FIOS (with access to my DVR), games, books, newspapers and internet access. It also fits easily into my carry bag. Great buy for the price.

Bought this for my spouse who loves to read books. It also is a benefit because the tablet so much more with video, music and games. It's the little brother of my Fire 10.1 so if you prefer a tablet to fit in one hand easily then this is the one for you otherwise invest a little more for the 10.1 for better movie viewing capabilities and sound.

I bought this knowing i was getting quality having purchased other kindles in the past and it only gets better with this one performance wise.

The Kindle didn't come with instructions and not everyone (like me) know how to work all features.

I had bought a fire tablet before for my 6 year old daughter (now 11) and she still uses it like if it was purchase recently, so she has had it for quite awhile. This new fire tablet has a camera so is a plus because the previous one did not. I choose this brand because of quality and price. No problems at all and will recomend.

I actually purchased this product for my husband,he had the very first one and needed an upgrade also his had stopped working for a while,but I know he enjoys it very much..

I have had a Kindle 7 for several years and have enjoyed it immensely. This Kindle 8 HD is a great improvement over the Kindle 7. 1. Larger screen makes reading and watching videos easier 2. Addition of memory slot for mini SD card allows more content to be stored on the device 3. Being a Prime member gives access to a lot of free content Would recommend as a great tablet for anyone who loves to 'read and surf the web

It was time for a new tablet and knew that i wanted another fire. When i saw this one I was done. It has worked wonderfully.

I have an iPad but wanted something smaller and lighter to read on. The Fire 8HD fits the bill.

I have had success with operating my computer, cell phone, iPod, ect. for several years. I am becoming tired of some items, such as this purchase, being hard to get a good and simple book to explain from a beginners point of view. I had obtained a For Dummies book about the Fire HD. Well, that is some help, but not exactly the same. I have downloaded a book from Amazon to get started, and am reading it most days, but am dissatisfied with not having a good source of information on using this particular model of e-reader.

My son had to find a work around to use his google apps, but he found one online. We have amazon prime but he does not like the prime offerings and goes through the apps for his streamed programming. Also, I wanted to download Flixter content that we already own, but that can't be done! Downloaded Prime content instead but it is temporary and requires replacing from time to time, but it streams just fine.
