I was deciding on 2 different tables. The kindle fire I could add more memory and the other 1 didnt

My wife loved her previous Kindle Fire (first gen), and now she really loves her new Kindle Fire...I love the price. For what you get, I'll take this over an Apple any day! I have an older iPad (I won it from work) and I rarely use it, she didn't like it, so my kids beat it up now. My wife takes this everywhere. It goes on camping trips, the beach, car rides, picnics, soccer practices, etc. She reads a lot, checks email, and does some social media garbage - and this does it all flawlessly. I played with it a little and there is noticeable difference in the processor as well as the OS they use now. Expandable memory is a super plus, too. If you want a tablet to take great pics and have great sound quality, get a better cell phone. Honestly, don't be that person holding a giant tablet trying to take pics... Overall, if you just want a good tablet to carry with you don't waste your money on Apple (ever), this will last longer and do more of the basics.

After a little playing with the unit, I was able to do what I wanted.

Bought it for my sister who is sick and it gives her great joy. Helps to pass the time for her.

I got this for Mother's Day from my husband because my Fire HD 8.9 went kaput after almost 3 years. I use it mainly for my games. It's good but once in a while my games start getting slow. Other than that, I have no complaints. I like its size. When I go out I just slip it into my bag.

Loved the fact that it functions as an e reader but can also check my email and the internets!

My daughter can use it and she is only 5. It's nice to have when your on the go kinda family.

This is a great Tablet , it doesn't ask nothing to IPAD.. it great for playing games as well.

I liked the Kindle. I liked the Kindle Fire 6 better. I like the Kindle Fire 8 best of all.

I got this as a Christmas present for my son. He really likes it and I would buy it again.

I like the fire, but find that sometimes moving around from app to app can be cumbersome.

I had a Kindle Paperwhite for ages but could not enjoy photos and illustrations in books. Now I can. The battery life is kinda disappointing, however, as the Kindle Fire 8 uses the battery quickly. Plus, you can't find a simple cover for it like you can for the 7.
