I bought this for my highly active 3 year old. It keeps her occupied while she’s is learning. Love the parental controls. My 3 year old can operate it on her own and tells me when it needs recharging.

We have two of these, one in pink and one in blue, they are great. My kids love them and the cases are wonderful. The two year warranty can't be beat. My only complaint isn't about the tablet but the fact that the apps available on Amazon are very limited

My 4 year old son liked it for about a day. He ended up getting the iPad pro instead

Got this for my kids this xmas (3 yr old twins). They absolutely love it and have become very adept at navigating everything (ridiculously easy for them which is a little scary). They've dropped it many times and the cushion on this thing has paid for itself already. Lots of kid-friendly apps - although it seems like you can only pick from their set list of apps - this might be an android/amazon thing I haven't figured out yet. My only complaint is it can be a little slow sometimes, particularly with downloading apps. Sometimes it shows the icon for an app like you have it, but then when they click it the wheels start spinning and it begins downloading, and it takes a couple of minutes (whereas my iPad would do it in about 15 sec). I don't mind the wait, but 3 yr olds get impatient quick. At least it's teaching them patience if not anything else. :)

I bought this as a xmas present for my 3 yr old niece. I love the pink casing which protects that tablet from any fall or being thrown around. We have dl'd games on it and it does the job of keeping my niece entertained and out of trouble

This tablet has apps that will keep your child busy for hours. The case is designed for small hands and will keep the tablet protected from drops and other mishaps.

Purchased for a 3 and 4 yr old grandchild for preschool. Software included will take them many years ahead. Both children just took off with scheduled programs. Very solid instrument easy parental control setup. Best life investment ever. Very happy and so are the kids.

Bought this on sale as a gift for an adult because it is the same as a regular HD 8 plus it comes with a case, no ads, and a 2 year warranty. Recipient really likes it.

My granddaughter loves this tablet! There is so much to do, and the parental controls can be tweaked to your needs. Having the case included was also a plus.

My 1 1/2 yr old uses this tablet easy to use and setup. I love that you put in her age and it only pulls up age appropriate. Battery last long and heavy duty.

My daughter loved her new tablet.. it was, what we expected.

We purchased this because we were going on a long trip and wanted our daughter to be entertained. It was well worth the money. She has dropped it many times and with the case on, it has not damaged the tablet at all. I think the highlight of this tablet is being able to control her daily screen time by increments of 15 minutes or daily goals as to what time the tablet automatically turns off. Amazon Freetime is the best though. it contains so many educational apps, books, vdeos, and it keeps our little one entertained when we travel or when we are somewhere waiting

Let me qualify the rating by saying the 5-stars considers intended use. This is not a high-end platform, but it isn't meant to be. If that was it's purpose the stars would be much lower. It is, however, a phenominal device for kids. My daughter absolutely loves this tablet. Despite its relatively insignificant price, it has been very reliable and has enough capability to meet/exceed her needs (i.e. watching videos/Netflix and using educational and kid-friendly apps and games. Moreover, it gives parents substantial control over what their kids can use/see.
