Buying the kid version of the kindle was the way to go! We are able to control everything our son watches and does. The case seems to do the job protecting it as well.

My nephew loves this tablet a great learning experience

Lots of variety for kids to enjoy. The parental controls allow you adjust how much they spend on each activity. It has been an excellent way for my kids to fall in love with reading...the library is enormous!

I got this because my son and daughter absolutely destroyed my IPad which had a case on it. The bumper on this Kindle works much better yet is still lightweight enough for my three year old to handle. Streams video well but on the negative side it could be a little faster.

Perfect for my granddaughter for her Christmas present

I got this as a gift for my youngest daughter. I was a little worried that it might be a bit much for her (she's 3), but she handles it well and has no trouble playing games and watching videos on it.

Got this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. I love how easy it is to log in as a parent and make sure she isn't doing anything he shouldn't. It tells you anything they do on their account.

I love this Kindle Fire! It keeps my child occupied and learning and is very lightweight and durable. The protective rubber case that it came with is wonderful and absorbs falls etc. very well. I totally recommend buying one.

This was best gift. Very durable, nice size for holding on small laps. It can go anywhere. I love it! And especially my grand daughter loves all the games and videos.

My oldest daughter (now 4) got this while she was 2 and has a blast with it. So much better than letting her play with our phones. Now her sister (now 2) got one of her own and they both enjoy the movies and games when were out or in the car.

Much better than the cheaper $50 tablets out there.
