My 5 year old son has dropped his many times on our tile floor and it still functions like the day we bought it. Lots of free learning apps available. Came with 1 year of free kids account for premium apps. We liked it so much, we bought or 9 and 11 year olds their own. They have downloaded tons of books, which they use for homework.
