Right out of the box, it’s cheap. I keep giving these tablets a try because of the price, but you’re definitely getting what you pay for. It’s unusable imho.

Slow performance on a Fire tablet can often be resolved by clearing app cache and background data. Here is how to do this: Open the Settings menu. Select Apps & Notifications. Select Manage All Applications or See all apps, and choose the app you are having trouble with. Select Storage, tap Clear Data or Clear Storage, then Clear Cache. It definitely should not be functioning in this way and I can understand how that would be frustrating for you. While it may be beyond the window of return, I do however have good news for you! All of our Kids tablets come with a 2 year worry free guarantee so you can definitely get it replaced via contacting Amazon Customer Service! Another thing you can do to assist in your tablet running smoothly is see how many apps are running in the background and close out of the ones you are not using. You can access this by tapping the Multitask button in the bottom right hand corner of the home screen and swiping all the way to the left and tapping Close All. We have always bought the Amazon fires for our kids and have never had issues with them before. This one is slow to load everything, kicks them out of any game they are playing. Basically the only thing they can do on it is watch Netflix. Even did a factory reset and that didn't help it either.
