This is a very simple tablet for young children. There are lock features on it that are wonderful. I would recommend to anyone looking for a tablet for young children.

We purchased the Kindle Fire for our granddaughter as a Christmas present. We are amazed at how well she is able to navigate through the games, stories, and our apps.

My kid loves it to the point where she won't put it down, but buy the warranty we are on our second tablet already.

When you factor in the price and the 2 year worry free warrantee this purchase is a no brainer. It doesn't have a super fast processor, and when opening some apps it freezes, but my 4 year old daughter doesn't complain about it and it comes with a huge library of books and movies in what Amazon calls Freetime our bedtime story library just got bigger at least for a year it did.

My daughter enjoys using her kindle. It isn't the fastest but it allows her to do all the things she likes to do.

My daughter loves her tablet. It holds a charge. Is easy for my daughter to navigate. Great tablet for your kids.

I was surprised of how easy it was for our six year old granddaughter to learn how to navigate with this device.

I bought this for my 8 year old and it has worked out perfect! The warranty alone was worth what I paid for it!

We gave this to my daughter for her 4th birthday. She enjoys the freedom and I enjoy the parental controls.

I got this tablet for my 5 year old son. And he lives it. Good parental controls and like how it has a profile for him and also sets up a profile for me. Even though 8 gb havin the extra storage and ability to inset a SD card is a must. He has figured out how to run it quickly . Like the time limits it sets for reading books and can't do anything else till minimums are met.

at first i was hesitant, but am satisfied with my choice. i bought 3 of them for each one of my boys ages, 7,6,3 and they all loved them. the main purpose was to have something to do on our road trip across country. they were easy to set up, downloading movies did take forever, but once everything was set up, it was a breeze for the kids to navigate.

I do love this tablet, but the only thing stopping from getting all stars is the memory. Not enough.

Wanted to get something I could put educational app on for my 5 year old. Love this, great parent controls, yet easy enough for a 5 year old to use.

Really good parental controls and my three-year-old can access the games he wants while we are in the car. There is a good selection of free games.

The only difference between this and the Fire tablet is the inclusion of the colored foam case and 1 year Freetime. I bought an additional glass screen protector which fit without issue and added a 32 gig memory. The kids menu for Amazon Freetime works well except you need internet connection to watch videos, you can't download them ahead of time. You have to use the parent's side to download and watch stuff from Amazon Prime. It is a tad slow like my Samsung Galaxy tab 7, not as quick as my iPad mini, but for the kids, it is fine. My only other gripe is that I see all the kids accounts that is attached to the one adult (Prime) account on both Kindles that I bought. This allows my son to grab his sisters kindle and download a bunch of HIS games on her Kindle.

This was a great purchase! My grandson absolutely loves it! The parental controls are a must for toddlers...or they would purchase everything!!

My son was impressed with the case that protects the kindle, the device is everything I was looking for in a Christmas present for my grandson.
