I have 3 little ones. And the kindle is one of the best things I've ever gotten them. Because they are not terribly expensive I was able to buy one for each one of the my children. It has a lot of games you can download that help with all academic aspects, while keeping attention and remaining very fun and interactive. It uses games that are based around popular learning shows ie: Dora, Jake and the never land pirates, team umizoomi! Above that it comes with a foam padding to protect it better from accidents by little hands, we still put a screen protector just for added protection. The battery life is wonderful as well. Overall a wonderful product.

Overall these tablets ended up being a waste of money. The lack of storage (8GB) combined with Amazon software made it only possible to install few apps for the kids. Kids also wanted have extra room for photos so we installed SD CARD 16GB. Tablet still was slow .. even tried installing apps on the SD card from the lack of space. Amazon only allows a few apps to be installed directly to SD Card. If you have 2 of these tablets under the same account it wants to reserve space for apps installed on the other tablet even though it isn't installed on that particular tablet. If you want to setup parental controls you will find out its a headache. Never again will I purchase a Kids Fire HD ... Just give them the normal tablet and only allow them to have certain apps. The only thing that attracted us to it was the 2 year free replacement ... This time we will buy a warranty through best buy for 2 years which also includes accidental. Also on a note .. Software does not allow your children to access normal Google Play Store .. Amazon store lacked a lot of educational apps.

This tablet has been so simple for the kids to learn and play with. It's easy to download games, and the protective case will make it harder to break. Can't beat it for the price!

Not thrilled with this my daughter is 6 and she didn't like it , it was bulky and the battery life was terrible . Had too my adult apps a this is supposed to be for kids .

My son loves it. Me? Not so much. The guarantee and protective case are awesome. The price is better than I can believe for a nice tablet. The OS is aweful, just aweful. You child will click on every app in the download on demand interface which slows the device to a crawl. I could go on but since my son loves it, it's a great value. Maybe over time the software will improve but today, it's not fully baked.

I bought my daughter one of these for her birthday and was going to wait to get my son one for his birthday but I couldn't wait b/c it was such a good deal and such a good tablet. I gave it four stars because it does seem to have trouble keeping some of the apps we have installed previously, from being accessed without having to redownload them. Its gets frustrating to have to keep downloading the same app over and over again, but then again it could also be an app issue. The app is Netflix.

I brought this product for my 4 year old pre k student. Her teacher wanted her students to have it because they would be doing readings from it and it is wonderful. She already had two other tablets and this was great.

We purchased this for our 5 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. It's easy to navigate, long battery life, and the kids pink protective bumper cover ensures our investment is protected. Great value for the price! I have even used it for Netflix and Amazon prime videos myself!

I love this tablet. I got it for my almost 3 yeal.old daughter. She always takes our ipads so I wanted her town have her own. I like the fire model since I am already a prime member I have access to a wide range of programs. The cover is great and sturdy. And the price is great.

I bought this unit for my 3 year old. She loves it and with the big foam case it is protected from any drops. This is a really good unit for a beginner and it was on sale.

The tablet is great for kids, but my daughters charging port broke already and we just bought it a little more than a month ago. It is too loose so it won't charge.

I bought this for my daughter who was 2 at the time. She's had it almost a year. It is sturdy and works well. I love that you can set limits on it. Great warranty too!

Tablet it myself is perfect for my four year old BUT there is hardly enough memory space to save anything downloaded. Have to clean it out at least twice a week.

My husband and I purchased this tablet for our granddaughter for her third birthday. Her parents have told us that she loves it and carries it around everywhere she goes! Big win for Grandma and Grandpa, too!

My son loves learning on his new tablet. It has many great features and learning apps pre loaded on it already and he and I just love using it. I love reading the Washington Post on it and he loves watching videos and playing games and such. Good product all around.

Bought for my 5yo nephew and he loves it. Case is very durable. Like the 2 yr no hassle guarantee. Great parental control features and ability to set playtime after set educational lessons have been completed. Plus automatic shut off on childs profile after set time of day. Also liked that it can be used as an adult tablet with a separate pin enabled profile. Gave only 4 stars because it will only access amazon apps and not the more abundant android market.

This was my gift to my god daughter for Christmas & she loves it. She can do all the things we can with our devices plus it reads to her! I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a tablet for a child. Yes grown ups can use it too.

My daughter is in love with this tablet. She cant put it down/I literally have to take it from her. She drops it & it bounces back.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my grandson. It appears to be rugged enough to stand up to a rambunctious six-year old. He loves having "his own." Great starter tablet for a younger child.

I purchase this for my grand daughter. She loves it! She accidentally dropped it outside on the concrete. Had it not been for the rubber case it would've been shattered! Glad I paid extra for it!
