For the price you can't beat it. 2 year no questions ask warranty, one year of playtime (prime for kids). It's a real tablet not a toy. All the games and apps are free for a year. Make sure to purchase a sd card. The internal storage is inadequate at 8gb when the is takes up 5gb.

Bought for my 9 yr old son after his first kindle fire shattered the second time. The 2 yr no questions asked warranty is a plus. Though I didn't check to see if they would replace more than once! Would be nice if it included more memory, but at least this one has an sd slot

I bought this for my 6 year old and she is just in love with it!! I love that there are parent controls so I can manage what she does. I also think the warranty is great that was offered thur Amazon!

The kids profiles are not advanced enough for my 8 year old twin boys but my 1 year old loves hers. I wish they had an app for kid friendly internet or youtube since my boys love to watch youtube videos with building dominoes, legos, and making different projects such as slime. They each have their own to keep down the arguments. The downfall is they don't stay charged long enough and it literally takes at least 3 hours just for them to charge back up. It keeps them occupied on trips but I hate they are not able to watch the videos unless they are on wifi. They can't have to many apps or it automatically disconnects the wifi until you remove something. Definitely have to have SD cards for more space.

My 3 year old loves this tablet! After a couple weeks of learning, he is a pro! I love the peace of mind I get with the 2 year replacement warranty. We are also loving the one year free amazon membership and downloading free games! Such a great deal and an amazing tablet. You can remove the case if you want. Great buy!

I bought this from Best Buy because from my research, this was the best tablet to buy for a small child for under $100. Not only does it have a 2 year guarantee EVEN IF YOUR KID BREAKS IT, but it also comes with Amazon Free Time, for a year at no additional cost! That is free paid apps, free music, free video streaming and ebooks, and if the in-app purchase is not included for free... it's disabled! Other things, it charges really fast, gets a great amount of battery life, comes with a cute case, and is very easy to use!

Price is right, product is sturdy, variety of contents, appropriate games and stories, can get more activities with on-line subscription. Has parental controls so that younger child does not go on-line without your assistance.

Great tablet for kids! Love the parental controls and educational goals! ! I wish there was more storage available. The wifi turns off by itself if there is not enough storage room. Kind of a pain. I would buy an SD card.

Got this to introduce my boy who is 1 1/2 to cool tech! I like how easy it is for him to tap on pictures and shapes, and for him to light up on fun sounds is great! As he gets older I know this tablet will grow with him! Plus the fact that is comes with a protective case is great!

I'm giving this device 4 Stars because of the protective sleeve it comes with and its warranty. Some things to note for people looking for a much cheaper alternative to an iPad for kids is that, depending on their age, and if they are already used to the iPad operation and Home button, it can take some time to get used to. Also, I wish the kid's could access YT kids app. Our son loves that app and it isn't available (that I can see). Also, he loves Thomas the Train and so we will download the free movies from Amazon Prime, but he can't watch them when he's logged on as the user.

My daughter loves it! The only bad side is you may need to buy extra storage but other than that great. And the best part is it comes with a 2 year warranty and if anything happens to it they've I'll replace it!

This tablet has a lot of preloaded children's content that my kids have been enjoying and there are plenty of good apps that you can get for free from Amazon underground. Streams Netflix very well. The on board memory gets filled really fast but you can get a 16 GB SD card for about $10. The parental controls are good and the bumper that protects the tablet not only keeps it safe from bumps and drops but also makes the tablet easier to hold on to by little hands.

I bought this tablet for my granddaughter, she started playing with it right away. nice display, easy to hold and use. Limited memory, but can attach a thumb drive for additional memory. You will need it.

I bought this for my nephew because he destroyed his previous tablet. I was reading online reviews and this tablet stuck out from the rest with the protective case and being able to dial it back so he can't get onto anything he shouldn't. Over all very pleased.

Great starter for kids. Love the parental controls and the educational goals. Also limits time to use if you want. Buy an SD card for more storage if you will be doing a lot of downloading.

We've been very happy with the Kindle Fire Kids edition after a couple of months of use. The FreeTime kids mode app is great for managing what apps the kids can access and limiting the time they spend on it. I also love the "Actually Free" apps Amazon offers that you'd normally have to pay for. Having the micro SD card to expand memory and store movies for drives is another plus. The battery doesn't last that long, but it's enough to get by.

This was a great investment. Hard but soft sturdy outer cases that are totally kids proof. Easy to use since my 4 year old twins are having a ball just discovering new features. The apps are just what they need. Fun to use and easy to understand.

So I bought 2 of these for my niece and nephew and let me tell you these cases and warranty that come with these are awesome. My nephew drops everything all the time and he is 8 and my niece that is 10 loves the color. Best gift ever.

So far the product is lots of entertainment for the kids. However, not crazy about having all accounts on both kids tablets and dealing with storage is a pain,

The 2 year "No questions asked" replacement guarantee is what sold us on this tablet. We bought this tablet for a 3 year old girl (our niece). The protective cover is durable and helps little hands hold the tablet. She has dropped it a few times already and there is no sign of damage. She likes it a lot. She is able to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, play educational Disney games, download books for us to read to her, etc.... I suggest buying additional storage as the internal storage gets used up quickly. You link the tablet to your Amazon account for purchased apps, books, videos, but so far the free stuff has been sufficient. You get 1 year of free Amazon FreeTime. After that, if you decide to keep it, I think it is like $3 a month. The tablet is used in 2 modes/accounts (parent and child). When in the child account, the child sees the "child layout" on the screen. When in the parent account, you can use it as a "regular" Fire tablet. For the money, a no brainer. Spending $300+ on an iPad or Samsung just does not make sense to me (for a child this age).
