To help prevent freezing, try closing background apps that aren't in use, clearing your cache (Settings > Storage > Cached Data), and ensuring your tablet has the latest software updates installed. If freezing continues, try restarting the tablet by holding down the power button for 40 seconds to force a restart. Sometimes these performance issues can be related to specific apps or having too many apps running simultaneously. Disappointing Fire Tablet

A great value for those that fit that model. Pros: - solid premium build - great screen, decent screen updates - built in fingerprint sensor - decent battery life - 'snappy' feel - 8 Mb camera in the 'right' landscape mode for zoom calls. - micro sd slot - WiFi 6 - available keyboard that directly connects Cons: - Outdated Fire OS - 3 generations behind Android. - limited App Store, no google apps, no Play store A Matter of Taste: - 16:9 Aspect ratio great for movies, less so for documents. - Amazon ecosystem with strong Alexa support - limited App Store - like most tablets, needs a flat surface to really work well with the keyboard - modest speakers The Amazon Max Fire 11 ticks off all the right hardware boxes including an acceptable keyboard and pen sold seperately at a price that seems like a good value. Decent storage and ram, a bright screen, snappy 8 core processor, and it moves away from a plastic case to a metal back which certainly feels better. As such, it's great for watching movies, not bad for internet web browsing, and did I mention consuming Amazon content? In short, it's a consumption beast that imbeds Alexa for ease of use. And, despite the availability of Windows Office, I would hesitate to recommend this as a productivity tool. With the keyboard it could have been great for writing, but that movie 16:9 aspect ratio screen feels cramped. In a pinch for note taking it will do, but did I mention it's a consumption beast? If Amazon is your home, this is your buddy. It's by far the best Amazon viewer out there, if that's all you want it's a solid 5 stars. I quite like it when I don't expect to do a lot of work with it.
