    Perfect tablet for kids!

This is part of a 'package' review that includes the stylus and tablet from Amazon designed for use with the Fire Max 11. It's a package specifically aimed at kids so the reviews are written with that in mind (meaning there won't be much focus on productivity or business applications). My review for the case and stylus from Amazon should also be posted under those product pages (not sure how to link them or even if it's allowed). My daughter needed a new tablet so the Amazon Fire Max 11 seemed like a great fit, especially when paired with the case and stylus by Amazon. For her this is a fantastic tablet. Out of the package the set up is typical of Amazon devices--connect to wi-fi and it walks you through. Overall it takes maybe 5-10 minutes depending, of course, on your connection. It was also almost fully charged. One fantastic change is all Amazon devices are now (finally!) USB-C charging devices. The older ones they used on tablet's designed for kids broke a lot--to the point that I stopped buying their devices for kids as it was a waste of time, so that is a very welcome change. It's also very comparable to ipads this size, but much cheaper even at retail price (and can often be found on sale). The case redesigns are great--the tablet looks and feels much more substantial than past designs. The edges feel 'tougher' and the button placement makes sense for volume and power controls. There is still a headphone jack, but the tablet also utilizes bluetooth for ear buds and other devices. It also integrates with other Amazon devices right away. The screen is very attractive. I tested it with a few of Amazon's 4k offerings, as well as some from Vudu and the images were fantastic. I must mention that you will be glad the headphone jack or bluetooth headphones are possible, as the sound from the speakers is fine for every day uses, but you'll want another option for watching any kind of media as it is not very substantial--to be expected from a tablet, of course, but still a little disappointing compared to previous Amazon tablets. Everything else on this tablet is so well-designed I would have expected much the same sound quality as the Fire tablet 10, but did not feel this lived up to even that standard. Apps run fast, and my daughter (like most kids) never seems to close anything on her tablet, but hasn't experienced any significant slowdown so far that I've seen. The Amazon App store has a lot of cool apps and my daughter has already found a drawing app she loves--it's kind of a game that can be played with other players (but minimal interactions so once I checked it out I didn't have much fear of inappropriate interaction) where you 'guess' what they tried to draw and you can submit your own. She's also delighted it plays "Roblox" with no issues (past Amazon tablets could not play it very well, so this is a substantial processor upgrade). I'm okay with that, as well, as Amazon has a good set of parental controls that let you manage time played, apps downloaded, etc. The only issue I've seen with them is the password gets 'tricky' and can't simply be managed from Amazon's page with my log in--a frustration I've had with Amazon's parental controls for a while. Overall for a kid this is almost the perfect tablet for a 'tween'--good parental controls, a charger that won't break easily, and lots of appropriate apps for her to choose from without me having to dig and research them all before allowing my child to use them. The Amazon review system for apps seems to be well researched with good, helpful reviews for almost every app. When paired with the case and stylus from Amazon I imagine this table will be useful to her for a long while, and that's good--especially since it's cheaper than a lot of the pricier tablets out there, but still a fairly significant cost when compared to other tablets designed for kids.

The Fire Max 11 impresses with its long-lasting battery. Even with heavy usage, one can comfortably get through a day without scrambling for the charger. I charge this tablet every few days!! **Ports & Additional Features** The inclusion of a USB-C (2.0) charging cable ensures faster charging times and universal compatibility with most modern devices. The bundled Amazon power adapter and microSD card ejector pin are thoughtful additions, making sure users have everything they need right out of the box. **Pricing & Value Proposition** Given the slew of features and top-notch specifications, the Fire Max 11 is positioned as a high-value proposition in the tablet market. Amazon has always aimed to offer premium features at competitive prices, and this tablet seems to be a testament to that philosophy. The bundle price for the tablet, keyboard case, and stylus pen is just right compared to the competition where it would easily be more than 3 times the price, can’t beat Amazon’s price here. In conclusion, The 2023 Amazon Fire Max 11 is a powerhouse, catering to a range of users, from professionals to media enthusiasts. Its blend of stellar performance, immersive display, exceptional audio, and the potential for enhanced productivity with optional accessories makes it a top contender in the current tablet landscape. Whether you're entrenched in the Amazon ecosystem or just seeking a robust tablet without breaking the bank, the Fire Max 11 is a good choice. I do wish there were more app options in the fairly limited Amazon App Store. I hope one day Chrome will be available in the app store.

Certainly not your Ipad, but screen size is great making reading quite easy (even for me). Jumping from page to page is quick, battery life more than enough.

The Fire Max 11 tablet has a good screen. I like the size and the speed of the tablet in displaying movies. It is excellent for our daughter to watch movies while going on long trips. My wife enjoys reading books on it and the size of the screen allows for larger font when reading.

This Amazon fire tablet max 11 inch is a very good android tablet made by Amazon for playing mobile games and streaming HD videos. I like it very much for playing mobile games with a good sound speaker. The image quality is excellent similar to iPad with much lower price!

I really wanted to like this Fire Max 11. I have been a fan of Amazon’s Fire line since they first came out back in 2011. I have been using a Fire HD8 Plus 2022 but realized I wanted more screen. So I was going to get the HD10 and I saw this, and loved the new design. I ended up getting the Max 11 and accessories. After a few weeks, I was very disappointed. Firstly, the design is great. I love the two tone aluminum look which is very close to another tablet company’s. It’s sleek, and the new sides are more straight and now curvy. The camera is decent but then again, I don’t use a tablet for that. It captures documents well so hats about it. The screen is excellent with that 1920x1200 HD display, 224 PPI. Watching content is a joy as well as reading books and comics. If you are invested in Amazon services, this is a great tablet to have. The decision to put the front facing camera in the middle of the long edge was smart so that you are centered when on video meetings. Although the charging port is on the top when in portrait mode. Amazon has made this as a sort of laptop productivity device. The keyboard is decent, good clicking and key travel for an 11” device. But the Fire Max does stutter for me when using multiple apps open at once, and using Microsoft Office, especially OneNote is a mixed bag. The Mediatek MT8188J processes shows its limitations when trying to multitask. Where I go crazy in a negative way, is the lack of Google apps. Yes, you can sideload them in but I’ve found that many apps downloaded from the Google Play Store don’t work as well compared to similar apps from the Fire Store (I did this with my Fire HD8 plus). The microSD card can be used up to 1Tb. I noticed that in order to use my microSD card, it had to erase all of my content on there first to format it. After a week of using, my tablet began slowing down and apps were crashing. It became unusable at times, so I had to force stop it and restart. Suffice to say, this was enough for me and I ended up returning it. When it was working, the Fire Max 11 is perfect for content consumption. It is not good for multitasking and productivity usage. The battery life is excellent, but not enough for me to really consider keeping it. You get what you pay for, so it would be better to get a standard Android tablet.

I've had 4 fire tablets past 5 years and this one works the best. Solid build, pretty good screen and ram. No problem side loading Google app store and running Google apps. Battery works 2 hours longer than my 9th gen 10 inch fire. If you're using it for media and general usage like emails etc worth it if you find it on sale.

So I really like the wide viewing display on the tablet. Set up is super easy. Powering on the device, you will be guided through the set up. It helps if you already have an amazon account, if not you will want to create one. You are prompted to connect to your wifi and then log in with your amazon account. YOu are seamlessly guided through the set up process. All of this is easy and wonderful. So right away I am already excited about the price, the screen and the ease of set up. I really liked the feel of this, it feels sturdy and is nice to hold. I also purchased the magnetic snap on case and stylus. These are very nice add ons, you can really position the kick stand on the case to the viewing angle you want. The keys and trackpad are nice and very responsive and the pen works just as I would expect. So we have it set up…. Lets start using it. Well, it didn;t take long for the initial excitement and warm feelings to slowly start slipping away the more i used the device. This is not really useful as a work machine, it is pretty much for streaming applications and amazon specific apps. Other than the standard streaming applications there is not much I found that I can use this for. If you are using the device on your lap, with the attached keyboard, it can be a bit floppy. I would suggest using a flat service if you want to type on the keyboard. So my real issue is with the available apps and software on the device. The home screen to me seems to be steered towards Amazon branding and advertising. I wish it was easier to customize and to add more applications. Thankfully I have 4 kids at home and this is wonderful as an extra tablet for them to stream content both at home and on the go. Again the screen and viewing I like, and the streaming services are adequate, i just feel like this is all I can do. This is not for productivity. And that would be my only concern.MY work uses Google Drive, docs, gmail etc and there are not apps for these, and it wont use Chrome. In summary, if you want to stream services, you will enjoy this device, If you need more applications and productivity than this may not be the device for you.

It’s super fast, my daughter even plays Fortnite on it with Amazon Luna with zero issues. The screen is huge, it’s sooooo clear, and reading a book on it is insane. I have a paperwhite, but reading one page on this fits a solid 2 pages.

Wife wanted it to read her books and watch Netflix in bed, it dose those things well. Smooth and fast enough nice big screen. Great for the price. You can spend a little more and get a lot more. Make sure this ticks all of your box’s, if it dose not… buy an android tablet… for mine and my wife’s uses it’s great but it falls short any time I have to side load an app

I was in the market for a 11", portable, light weight tablet that would allow me to attend my online coursework. I wanted a keyboard and a stylus, if possible, given my budget. I had Lenovo's Duet 11 (or 9, depending the site apparently.. very confusing) and although I did enjoy most of it, the things I didn't were enough to make me exchange it for this Fire 11 Max. So glad I did! I am pleasantly surprised at how well this Fire works given past experience with Amazon devices. Usually they are cheaply-made, clunky, and slow as molasses but not on this one. The screen is vivid, the speakers reasonably loud, and the fingerprint sensor works well. I haven't tested out the camera's, but from what I hear they're decent. I especially love that it's USB-C and just as I need, compact and portable. What really made me love it even more? The seamless connection and usage of the keyboard and stylus. It all just works reaaally well. I use Microsoft 365 and OneDrive which both work well as apps on the tablet. I liked the ability to add icons to my Home Screen from the Silk Browser. All in all, a really good buy that I feel confident will hold me down for my studies and thereafter.

I really love this Kindle. It is a little larger than my other ones but I'm adjusting and even liking it's size more now. It is fast, which I love. I love that I don't have to recharge every other day. In fact the first 2 weeks I kept checking if it needed charging and couldn't believe how long it lasted till it needed charging again.
