I think i have 2nd or 3rd generation amazon fire TV, and the controller sync up to my fire TV once the new update came out in February. I had no problem as of yet with the game controller.

When I bought my Amazon Fire stick it only came with the basic remote control, now that I bought the Amazon - Fire Tv Game Controller I can use the voice commands and play games with a great controler.
