This is a great improvement from older fire sticks. Powerful processor allow for much faster response times and the picture looks fantastic on 4k tv. Strong wifi connections

I bought this because we lost the remote to the one we had, but this one is way better, it allows me to control my volume and the other one didn't. Quality is so much better.

Great product! 4k looks amazing. This product is noticeably faster than the basic fire stick. You will need a power source for this unit. Power adapter and HDMI extender dongle included.

I have 4 fire sticks that are used daily. I prefer them to the software that is installed on my smart tv. The picture is crisp and clear and setup was fast and easy.

I already had the 4K fire tv stick and wanted the Max because it is a better performer. The stick works great for 4K movies and shows. Movies like Halloween Ends and Marvel films were flawless to stream. Shows on Disney+ and Netflix were also easy to watch. Amazon needs to improve its software when streaming 4K content. The player sometimes ignores that the content is 4K and displays HD and not UHD for a few moments. The stick also doesn't have super resolution upscaling like the newer cube which possibly uses a sharpening filter on the screen. Alexa is also helpful but sometimes doesn't understand commands that are not clear enough. Ethernet with firetv will most likely not work because the adapter that worked with the older one was impossible to get to work with this one and the newer cube's ethernet port does not work at all either so make sure to have a good wireless connection. This fire tv stick is definitely an upgrade from the older one.

I love my little fire stick, the voice control is my favorite thing about it. It's easy to use, and simple enough for tech challenged people to use.

Purchased 2, one for a new TV and one for an older (4 years) model. Both provide the same level of service but the interface with the TV (mostly at start up) is different. Do that really matter - no still gets you to the same place. Setup was simple but I had all the accounts and passwords ready before I started. Step by step was simple, the sound bar was different - I had to roll through a long list before I got to mine but that that worked perfectly. I remember setting up that soundbay in my Xfinity remote looking at a small piece of paper folded more times than an origami flower and then still having to pick one of 5 available codes. I wish the 4 buttons at the bottom were programmable instead of fixed - maybe future software upgrade. This version does require power and comes with an converter - I instead purchased the patch cable which allows it to pull power from a USB port (if you have one open). Much cleaner.

Not just for the lower price, but this Insignia tv is an outstanding value. Easy setup with our digital streaming router, Firestick remote works very well..all for $79.

The Fire Stick Max seems to be the fastest one yet. I recently update from a 4K model and this one is even better. I would recommend this one forbsure
