I already had the 4K fire tv stick and wanted the Max because it is a better performer. The stick works great for 4K movies and shows. Movies like Halloween Ends and Marvel films were flawless to stream. Shows on Disney+ and Netflix were also easy to watch. Amazon needs to improve its software when streaming 4K content. The player sometimes ignores that the content is 4K and displays HD and not UHD for a few moments. The stick also doesn't have super resolution upscaling like the newer cube which possibly uses a sharpening filter on the screen. Alexa is also helpful but sometimes doesn't understand commands that are not clear enough. Ethernet with firetv will most likely not work because the adapter that worked with the older one was impossible to get to work with this one and the newer cube's ethernet port does not work at all either so make sure to have a good wireless connection. This fire tv stick is definitely an upgrade from the older one.

Has been always happy with the fire stick, the only complain is the storage capacity and the size off the control, too thin for my hands, always getting between sofa, besize that great

Purchased 2, one for a new TV and one for an older (4 years) model. Both provide the same level of service but the interface with the TV (mostly at start up) is different. Do that really matter - no still gets you to the same place. Setup was simple but I had all the accounts and passwords ready before I started. Step by step was simple, the sound bar was different - I had to roll through a long list before I got to mine but that that worked perfectly. I remember setting up that soundbay in my Xfinity remote looking at a small piece of paper folded more times than an origami flower and then still having to pick one of 5 available codes. I wish the 4 buttons at the bottom were programmable instead of fixed - maybe future software upgrade. This version does require power and comes with an converter - I instead purchased the patch cable which allows it to pull power from a USB port (if you have one open). Much cleaner.

What to say i mean we all have heard of amazon products since most speak for themself this thing was a great buy why wouldnt you buy it i mean you can load alot of 3rd party apps and watch for free why pay for alot of services if you can find a app to download dont waste you're money on paid apps theres so many 3rd party apps you can put on this and save you money just get a app called " diwnloader" and theres also youtube to show you how to install stuff not sure me saying this helps but it saved me money.

The Fire Stick Max seems to be the fastest one yet. I recently update from a 4K model and this one is even better. I would recommend this one forbsure

Not just for the lower price, but this Insignia tv is an outstanding value. Easy setup with our digital streaming router, Firestick remote works very well..all for $79.

I think they upgraded the processor and how they partition the storage, making it faster, and have more storage, vast improvement over previous version.

Compare to its previous generation. This 4K Maxx is much faster and reliable and easy to use

Great steaming device!! This is my fourth fire stuck, and by far the best! It has a much gaster processor and a great remote.

Excellent streaming device, easy for all the apps we use, using alexa voice has been a life changer for my kids

I upgraded from the Fire TV 4K doubting I would notice a difference but this performs quite a bit better than that product, for what little extra processing power it uses. Less lag, less instances where Home Theater Audio drops out, not much to dislike really. I don't need all the silly app-specific launch buttons on the remote but they're not too obtrusive. I'd recommend it over the regular 4K but I also happened to get this on sale, with rewards money so paid about $19 for it. Sold the 4K for $12, so yeah for 7 bucks I can't complain.

I really enjoyed this Amazon fire stick versus my older one. This one has less buffering faster than my old fire stick and better picture quality with the 4K Max.

Great and easy to use. The switch from cable to streaming services was fluid and natural.

This is a great streaming device. I don't have a 4k TV or WIFI 6 but this device works great. Very fast selecting which app I want to open or you can use the voice remote to open any app you have loaded. My only complaint is the 8gb of storage - it should be at least 16 gb. This is a fantastic value - there are more expensive streamers out there but this offers the best value/performance I've seen.

I bought this is a quick easy and cheap option to have streaming available on a projector that we use outside, it has been absolutely freaking amazing. We use a Bluetooth speaker and connect it to the fire stick and keep it near us so that we don’t have a super loud movie blaring to annoy neighbors it’s super portable, unbelievably easy to set up and one of the nicest things I’ve purchased from the store in a very long time! If you have ever been curious about whether or not to buy one, just do it! It’s worth every penny.

I replaced a 4k firestick with this MAX, and it really is faster and streams better over my Xfinity gateway modem. Highly recommended for just a few dollars more.

Replaced an older Fire stick that died. Much better than the cheaper version and was on sale for the same price so win win!
