    This is the third version of the Amazon 4k streaming platform that I've owned. I really appreciate the speed of on-screen navigation especially with click+hold scrolling. The difference in smooth scrolling is apparent. When replacing an older installed Fire with a new one, you are offered to restore your profile from the older one. Though useful, it is incomplete and I suggest that you spend time going through the settings to make sure that some haven't been reset e.g., Parental Controls and Screen Saver Any subscription services e.g., Showtime, will need to be re-authenticated.

    Disney Plus has a Dolby Atmos problem with downloadable apps for Sony TVs. After using the app available to download from the Smart TV Google store, movies will only play in Dolby Digital Plus. If a person needs to solve that problem and get the best possible picture and sound from streaming from any app, get the FireStick 4k Max. This device goes to an HDMI port on the TV and solves all the problems. It is also more affordable than purchasing the Apple TV 4K device. There is also an accessory available that can power the Fire stick with a USB port on the TV rather than connecting to power.
