    Here is the best way to cut your cable bill. I have mine set up with direct ethernet using an adapter and have streamlined all my apps and add a few paid services which were far cheaper than my current satellite provider. Now there is nothing I can't watch anytime I want for less than $30.00 a month. Always buy the 4K version of this and watch for sales as they happen often.

    Fire tv stick works great lets you stream from the internet and watch content available on apps like Netflix, hulu, amazon prime video ( each subscription comes with a cost) to name a few. this doesn't replace a cable box or your internet service providers devices. if you get this it doesn't give you free tv. you need internet to use this and internet comes from a service provider or isp. fire tv stick, roku , chromecast they let you get access to apps on the tv , those apps need internet to function, this is not a tv antenna that gives you free channels . Its a common misconception so its worth noting. Plug into a non smart tv and then it will give you access to smart apps basically making an older tv into a smart tv. worth the money works great .

    It’s exactly what you want from an inexpensive plug and play streaming device. It’s not exactly quick and snappy (though I imagine the Fire TV set top is) but it gets the job done and has plenty of features and options to make it worthwhile
