I bought this for my bedroom 4K T.V. It plus the apps on the smart T.V. now give me all the streaming options I could ever want. I will most likely go with Playstation Vue now that I have the Firestick. The Firestick also seemed to correct some buffering issues that my T.V. alone was having. A fully dedicated streaming device like this are always better than the wi-fi receivers built into T.V.s For just under $50 bucks it is probably the best streaming option out there.

Awesome Purchase!! Why did I wait so long? I've known about the Fire Stick for some time, but held off since we've had smart TVs. While both the FS and Smart TVs both can used to launch premium programming, the Fire Stick is much better at organizing and sorting everything out ...... plus it has the ability to easily switch between tvs without loosing anything. Definitely worth the minor investment to purchase the Fire Stick.

I replaced a first generation FireStick. This was easy to set up and connect to the internet. Beautiful picture!

Some apps are really hard to get working and sometimes result in a lot of "return back to menu and go back to it." These are not the Netflix, Hulu, Sling etc; but like the News and Local news Channels. The device would not sign me into my provider, rather I'd had to wait a day after installation for a delayed "Sign into your provider message." After that, every app that gave me a problem instantly allowed me to sign in. I hope you dont encounter what i did, but as of now the device works fine with no major issues but i would not want to recommend this to someone and have to help them through that issue, i wont do it. So go buy a smart TV thats 4k uhd which allows you to use Amazon Apps with your Amazon Subscription. Make that your next TV upgrade if you do not stick with the Firestick.

Love the remote especially worth the built in voice control. The kids can navigate with it with ease.
