Good upgrade..no support for 4K playback from Plex

Supports 4K playback from Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Big however...it DOES NOT support 4K playback from my Plex server. Both direct MKV rips of Ultra-4K Blu-ray’s and down-converted rips to lower frame rates. It plays 1080p Blu-ray rips with no issues. I’m amazed it can’t support direct play of the 4K movies thru Plex. My 3 year old Vizio TV plays the 4K movies perfectly...why can’t Amazon get this right. Otherwise, this is a pretty complete streaming device. The new remote is a huge plus...adding IR and controls for TV/Receiver with power is perfect...the wife approves as she only needs one remote to rule the world again.

If you need extra power to run it for some reason, do not run a cable to an outlet just connect it to another USB output on you TV. If you do not have an extra output, connect a USB hub to the one you have an run the needed cables to the hub. However, this item does not need much power to run.

Alexa, Netflix please

Love the remote ( when I can find it) but much much better than the Apple remote. I do like that it can be used on a 1080P TV as well. This is the first with a volume and that is a great addition. I also use the Alexa do get show 50/50 with that feature. least expensive media streamer out there that has a great interface.

I wanted this device because it is way way way faster and fluid than the basic fire stick !!! There is no lag at all!!! It is worth the extra $10, definitely buy this one !!! I may buy the new cube coming out next month!!!
