I was disappointed that my original Fire TV Stick stopped working, but got a good price on a replacement - hoping I don't have the same problems.

Freezes up

But I have problems with 1 station (animal planet) it freezes up all the time. We have ruled out the internet so it's either animal planet or the amazon fire stick.

The only difference here is that you get 4k, its not faster nor better. Ram and storage is about the same. Works just as good as the previous model, not better.
