However, there are a couple things with the fire stick 4K that are not good. 1) HBO and Amazon are not playing well with each other and this means you will not be able to enjoy any HBO apps on the firestick after the HBO Max app transition. 2) If you use a sound bar, or a receiver to supply your sound you should know that there are lip-synch issues (meaning there is a delay between the picture and the sound). I have 3 amazon 4K fire sticks on different devices (Sonos, Denon receiver, Pioneer receiver). No amount of googling and configuration will permanently fix this situation.

The first movie we tried to watch, on the Hallmark Channel, had multiple “playback errors” requiring me to log back in each time. The final time it completely reset and took me back to the beginning of the movie. I tried to get back to where it reset but while it allowed me to fast forward through the movie it did NOT allow fast forwarding through the multitude of commercials. We spent nearlym 3 hours trying to watch an 87 minute movie and never did see the ending because we gave up. Maybe it was a bad day for the Hallmark Channel but I don’t know if my wife will give this device another chance. At this point I would definitely not recommend it.

Every time it went to sleep and wanted to use it again no picture would show up. Had to go through the display detecting format. Wasn’t detecting the correct screen format.
