    VUDU App Fail

Doesn't have the VUDU app. Sure, you can watch most of your movies through the Movies Anywhere app, but all of them don't show up and NONE of my purchased TV shows show up! Oh, and you can't purchase VUDU movies through the firestick, so you still need another device. Not cool.

We bought the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4k with the intent of using it on our home projector. We were so excited to test out the new 4k feature, but were seriously disappointed. The 4k when watching Amazon original series was extremely dark. We ended up returning the Fire Stick for a Roku and are much happier.

I have not tried using this at all. I brought this to our vacation to use but forgot to take it out from the hotel TV and so never get the chance to enjoy it. I feel bad.

    Nice Gadget!

I'm new to the world of "Amazon Fire". I've always used my apps off my smart TV, PS4, PS3 to stream anything. I've always run into limits though, to where a device wouldn't support a particular streaming service. The Fire TV has more of a variety of streaming apps. The setup was fairly easy. Gripe one of two: it took me 20 mins to figure out how to get the batteries into the remote. No illustrations were provided. Common sense would tell you to just push down on the divot and slide it off. Nope. I ended up pushing down on the divot and prying it off with an ice pick. Left a nice scratch on the back on my first attempt at doing this. Not sure why it was designed like this; child proofing the batteries? The setup was quick. I did have a have a problem with the device seeing my wifi, after I got it set up to connect to it, then turning SSID broadcast back off my wifi. So, I've had to leave my SSID broadcast on indefinitely (which means neighbors around me can see my wifi). Second gripe comes in the way of the home screen. I don't like how smart TV devices have started displaying this plethora of content candy, as if it's all right there at your access, when in fact most all require their own subscription. Just show me my apps on the home page, and maybe when I highlight the app, show me a top 6 content/new content list associated with that app. And maybe a slight gripe: I would like to be able to power off my unit by pressing the power button on the remote. Roku is similar, in that they just go into a deep sleep after so long of not being used. I'd like to be able to turn it off!! I do look forward to side-loading some Android .apk files, so that I can play some Android games on my big-screen TV. Wish there were a little more memory than <6GB to store more data on the device. Also like the fact that I can sync my PS4 controller with the Fire TV, and use it for gaming. Keeps me from having to buy an additional controller. For $50, this is a definite pick over the Coocoo Roku.

At first it was great then about 2 days after using it, it started freezing and we kept having to uninstall apps and reinstall them for them to work. I spoke with someone from bestbuy and they told me I couldn’t return it or even exchange it.

Does not work as advertised. On the box it says its compatible with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Lies... Dolby Vision does work proper, but not Atmos. Best sound you'll get from the stick is 5.1 DD+. So back to my Xbox X for everything.... At least I can use Apple+ on here

Does not output Dolby Atmos like it states. I bought this specifically for the Dolby Atmos feature and it doesn’t work. Research online shows that this is a problem Amazon has known about for years yet continues to state on the specs that it has Atmos.

This is the wrong stick. I asked for ruku and I have a complaint. I am disabled, and I spoke with you all in. You all had promised that you all would communicate with the geek squad to see if they can come and pick up both items that I purchased on this date in to return them for me, and to bring out the right well correct item and I haven’t heard anything from you all. I really wish someone would reach out to me.

It’s hard to contact them either by email or telephone if you have a problem in your Fire stick just what we are experiencing right now. Suddenly were disconnected to the Vuepas the pin code and password no longer recognize for whatever reason.
