Amazon Streaming vs Google Chromecast

I prefer my recently acquired Fire TV Stick. My biggest problem is with the two mega corporations. Chromecast doesn't stream Amazon Prime videos; Amazon Fire TV Stick doesn't stream Google-owned You Tube videos smoothly; The products are essentially good, but you probably want both. Not so good.

Happy with the Amazon Fire TV stick

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K because it was recommended to me by a tech from Best Buy Geek Squad for my WiFi issues with my family room smart TV. WiFi would be disconnected whenever I turned on this TV or sometimes it would initially connect, then disconnect later on. They suggested I try installing the Amazon Fire TV stick as an inexpensive solution for my WiFi disconnect issues. So far, so good as I haven't had any WiFi problems once the Amazon Fire TV stick was installed!

It downloads app pages much faster. And with the added on/off function of the TV, and controlling my surround system volume/mute, awesome. There are no special settings to get through to use those functions! I was using the Ethernet adapter on the 2nd Gen Stick, but found it useless to use with this Stick. It only caused interference problems and appears to only see WiFi. So I unplugged the adapter and went with just using the WiFi. The interference stopped and now it works great! Now to only get a 4K TV!

It's easier to set-up and to use. Also has an excellent video resolution output. You can just use the USB on your tv for power.

The second one in under 20 minutes. Very easystem to use. Works with video sources like Hilu, etc. Of course, Amazon Prime is set to go too.
