I had very 1st generation stick from 2015. Well it was over due.. This sick is completely better in every way. It definitely processes way faster & holds an way better signal than the previous version.. Even with a weak connection, this thing is a powerhouse. I caught it on sale $25 definitely couldn't beat that.

Not for casting

If buying for the option of casting to your TV, a Chromecast is a better option. Just as a streaming device it works well.

Amazon - Fire TV Stick 4K with All-New Alexa Voice

It's definitely a faster version, and the Alexa voice assistance is nice. I'm also impressed with the Alexa voice assistant being very user-friendly, as I have had zero complaints with her voice recognition and performance. Pleasant surprise, needless to say. And the new processor in the 4K Fire Stick is much faster, which is the reason I purchased it in the first place. Overall, a solid product that works as advertised.
