Great performance and price

In the real world, it is as fast or feels slightly faster than the Fire TV Box 2. To me that, is pretty awesome considering this stick is a lot smaller than the box. I love the Fire platform. It suits our needs wonderfully. Only negative about the Fire platform ( not this product ), is that Google and Amazon are still in their war. This means YouTube does not have great support on the Fire stick. You have to use a browser app such as Silk or Firefox to view YouTube. It works ok. If we want to watch YouTube, we normally use a Chromecast and cast the video from one of our Android phones.

Best Streaming Device

I have a Roku, I use both but I prefer watching sports in 4K. The Amazon integration I believe gives this an edge over the other streaming devices. My only complaint, some apps take noticeably longer to load compared to Roku or directly from my Samsung Smart TV. The Peacock app in particular takes an eternity to load. I timed it for this review 21 seconds. That might not be an Amazon problem and more likely a Peacock problem.

Great to adapt to overscanned old hd sets

The fire tv 4k will allow you to correct overscan by adjusting the picture size to fit the display area on tvs that can’t adjust themselves. That allows you to see the full picture in all apps that may not adjust themselves to fit a 720 p display.

I don't remember when I purchased the first one, this will the 3rd one that I have to buy just for my tv, not to mention the other tv's. both my girls have fire TV's and I have replaced each of those once. I keep replacing them only because it is cheaper than paying for a subscription cable service, this is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars because of the cost savings.

Great Fire Stick!
