Plugs into back of TV so don't have to have a large main unit taking up space. Very simple and easy to use both the device and controller. I own a Roku as well as the Fire Stick. I do prefer the menu on the Roku better, but that is just a personal preference. It would not stop me from buying another Fire Stick.

You have to have accounts with paid subscriptions already to log in to certain apps or pay to watch. Some apps are free accessible content but if u have paid cable services or know someone who would share email and password you get access to all the channels they have or pay for. I personally love it and have used it nonstop since getting it. Mostly purchased because sony and lg wont carry the hulu app anymore because of some contract changes. So i had to buy something else to get access to my hulu app but was able to access so much more
