At first, I was like, why do I need to spend more money and "update" to the latest Fire Stick? Well, it was a welcomed upgrade. It allows you to stream up to 1080i resolution as oppose to 720i. Apps freezes from time to time but not as much as the previous one. As for the load speed of apps, I cannot say that it loads any faster than the previous one. I do like the new interface. The installation, if you want to call it that, was easier than the installation of the previous generation I recommend this upgrade, especially if you find this stick for a discounted price.
