Amazon Fire Stick with Alexa - Awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I use an Amazon Fire Stick and I am very please with the functions. The best part I do not have to use the TV remote for anything. All is done through Amazon Fire Stick remote, and Alexa Voice is awesome. It was easy to install. I like it so much I purchase another one for my bedroom TV. Just make sure to purchase the Fire Stick with the up and down volume feature as the Amazon Fire Stick light do not have that option and then you have to use your TV remote and Fire stick remote.

Absolutely fantastic
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this device to "cut the cord" from DirecTV, DISH, and Comcast cable to which I have subscribed the past 20 years. The runaway cost and the politics of certain channels were the deciding factor for me to make the switch. I am supremely happy with my decision at the availability of what I can watch on TV. There are loads of movies and documentaries and shows that can be watched for free via tubi TV, Pluto TV, IMDb TV, Fawesome, YouTube, etc. Installation is a breeze with a gmail account connecting to my home network. Shows are in real 1080 HD. Great buy at low one-time cost to replace the above expensive cable/satellite providers. Highly recommend for those wanting to move away from the expensive TV providers.

Q: QuestionIs this a Second Gerneration?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hello! It appears that this is the one released in 2020 which would make it the 3rd Generation for the Fire TV Stick. Have a great day!

Q: Questiondo you have to have merge tv from a cable company for the firestick to work
Asked by bchmom.
- A:Answer Hello, The Firestick is its own platform, that has no correlation to the cable companies. The Firestick requires Wifi, and then you can pick and choose the apps you want to use and pay for. It operates independently, so if you want apps like Netflix and Hulu, you would choose them and pay for them, versus paying the cable company. Or you can use both. Up to the user.

Q: QuestionMy tv is older and doesn’t have wi-fi built into it. Will a Amazon fire stick still work with tv? Thank you
Asked by Jayman.
- A:Answer Yes. This has built in Wifi which connects to your home wifi so you can access Netflix.etc on your TV! You do not need your TV to have it's own wifi in other words.

Q: QuestionOnce you connect Fire Stick to your TV’s HDMI port and turn the TV on, what’s next? Is there a certain channel you have to be on to watch things through Fire Stick? Does Fire Stick always stay plugged in even if you’re not watching any programs with it?
Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer Hi mike, This isn't like the days where you needed to turn to channel 3 in order to use a device! However, you will likely need to change your TV's input to the same HDMI as the port you plugged it into. If you look at the back of your TV you should see what number HDMI you plugged it into. Use your TV remote and find the Source button on it. Click through that and change the source to the appropriate HDMI number. Yes, the fire stick could always stay plugged in even if you aren't using it. Seems like personal choice if you would want to unplug it! It would just need to reconnect to wifi when you plug it back in.
