• Hello, The Firestick is its own platform, that has no correlation to the cable companies. The Firestick requires Wifi, and then you can pick and choose the apps you want to use and pay for. It operates independently, so if you want apps like Netflix and Hulu, you would choose them and pay for them, versus paying the cable company. Or you can use both. Up to the user.
