TV controls are key.

The addition of the tv controls is clutch. That helps minimise the remote sprawl when you just want to watch something streaming. There are a few wonky things with the fireOS that I wish worked better. Specifically the recently viewed should show on the home page for all of your subscribed services (like Hulu) not just what you watched on Amazon. The on thing I don’t like about the remote is that it relies on Bluetooth only. Very convenient for hiding the fire stick behind the TV; not so good if you are trying to use a universal remote (like from the Bose sound bar). It is a minor annoyance though since the Amazon remote will control the sound bar, and the TV
