I did not want to purchase a smart TV but wanted to be able to watch YouTube, Prime Movies, etc. on the TV. My son suggested purchasing a Fire TV Stick. I did so for the bedroom. I loved it so much, I purchased a second one for the family room. I also purchased a remote cover to have a better grip.

I upgraded to the fire stick from my 2nd generation Apple TV because of the high price of the new Apple TV. Pros of this device is the price, the linked volume control, the ability to customize apps, and the fact that you don't have to point it directly at the TV (though I feel like most of these are standard with most streaming devices now...). There are some major cons that really bother me though. My biggest complaint is that the lag is absolutely terrible!! When I hit the home button it takes at least 5 seconds before it registers and takes me there. Additionally, if I pause a show and it goes into sleep mode, when I wake it back up it is back at the home screen instead of staying on the application I was using. Finally, Alexa does not allow you to say letters, only words, so it is basically useless for logging in to accounts, which always takes so long due to pushing every single letter on the keyboard. The new generation Apple TV has the ability to recognize the letters you say. Overall, I'm okay with this device because of the price, but when looking to upgrade I will likely try out the Roku or switch back to the pricey Apple TV.

I've had the Amazon - Fire TV Stick with all-new Alexa Voice Remote Streaming Media Player - Black for just over a month now. I thought this was going to be more difficult to set up and operate than it is. Very easy. Took less than 10 minutes to set up and have working. A ton of free shows and movies.

The Amazon Fire Stick is an excellent streaming stick. It is fast, reliable, UHD and HDR. It has voice control which works well (Alexa) to find what you are looking for. Interface could be better, but other than that it's as good or better than anything on the market and the price is right.

I really am enjoying using my Fire tv stick. It is easy to use and the selections and the services are fantastic. I have no trouble finding something to stream that find very interesting and entertaining. I especially like the Christian movies and also the music streaming. I even started binge watching tv series.

Our grandmother had an older roku on one tv and she wanted another one to put in the room. I picked up the firestick. It was super easy for her to learn how to use. She loves that she can power in the tv and control the volume from the remote. But what she loves the most is she can tell Alexa to find her favorite shows.

Works Great! The product was delivered fast. Customer service was great. I have recommended this product to my family members and I also recommend to anyone reading this review. The volume button on the Firestick is an added luxury. It is very convenient to use. I will also purchase another Fire Stick in the near future.

Bought the Firestick during a sale and man am I glad I did. My tv is a little older so it doesn't have all the built in apps that smart tv's do. This absolutely fixed that. It's simple to use and navigate. Has all the apps a smart tv does and I would recommend to anyone missing that.

This has worked out great for us, we replaced a Firetv(the box type device) and it is great! Not only do we not have to look at the device below our tv now since this hooks into the back we were able to sync our tv with the Firestick remote and just have one remote to use. And we got this for a great deal!!

This is great because I can take this wherever I go. Before everything got shut down I was able to "Watch movies" on this and other things as well. I love how the ctroller has been updated where I can control the volume instead of having to have multiple remotes by you.

I was surprised how UPDATED my TV was after I installed this. I can even pish the button and speech command to certain channels movies and music. I already was a Prime Member so it was easy to add that and i can shop from my tv as well. A must have for the older TV that aren't smart.

The Fire stick is easy to install and use. I already owned two and this one made my third. I like that this one has the volume controls on the remote so I only use the tv remote to turn the tv off and on. For quicker excess, just press the microphone button and say your demands. I love the Fire Stick!

Had the very first version on fire tv sticks. They were good but these are great. Much faster response and with Alexa voice command so much easier to use for a device that was already simple to setup and use. And you can control the volume now with the remote which is a nice feature.

Bought this because of a big Best Buy sale, so I could replace my older FireStick. This one is extremely fast and easy to use. I really enjoyed it for three weeks, but lost it in a major electrical storm power surge. So I just bought another one at Best Buy yesterday. Wish they'd had another big sale.

Excellent streaming product, particularly for on the road use. Fairly easy to install. Only challenge is on the TV side (e.g. stepping through the TV set up mode to get the proper channel). Fire TV Remote is very intuitive for navigating through the various functions.

Once upon a time, I wasn’t too thrilled about the Fire Stick. Since my kid begged that I get one, I am actually in love with it. It’s everything plus more. Being able to download apps is convenient. The price was a steal; therefore, I purchased two. I would definitely buy more as gifts for others.

Set up was extremely easy: 1) I plugged the Firestick into my TV and put the batteries into the remote control, 2) the Firestick started itself, asked which WiFi network is mine, then asked me to enter the WiFi password using the remote control. It then said it was connected to the internet, 3) the Firestick downloaded updates and restarted itself, which took 10 minutes, 4) to log in to my Amazon account, the Firestick asked me to go to the amazon.com/code website on my computer and enter the code that it displayed on my TV, which was very easy. Now the Fire Stick was logged into my Amazon account, 5) Lastly, it played music and asked me to check that the volume control on the remote control worked, and it did. Done. I was playing a TV show with this device less than 20 minutes after opening the package. The TV image and audio are very clear and it loaded the show quickly.

Need to turn an older dumb tv into a smart tv. For the cost, this thing works really well and is way more useful vs chromecast in my opinion. The AppleTV is still the best product in this segment, but costs way more (about 4x more). This gets the job done at a fraction of the price.

Was a breeze to set up as they give you step-by-step instructions on your tv screen. Once this set up was completed, I was able to discover so many television and movie options. My initial viewing of programs lasted 10 hours, as it allowed me to access programs I thought were no longer available. The beauty of it was that I did not have to engage in an exhaustive search for the programs. I simply talked to the remote as if I was telling my Smartphone to call a number in my contacts. Loving it, so far!
